This will be my first Apple watch. I currently have a Fitbit.

Oh, you will love it! I love tech, so it's great for me. I had the very first one and the battery wasn't as good as it used to be, so my daughter and I both upgraded this past weekend. It's nice not to have to rely on the phone. Because as of right now there is no connection to my phone because my X isn't completely ready. Had no time to really get it set up.

Enjoy the watch. I had the original one that I sold when Series 2 came out. I knew I wanted more than one to be able use with fitness/health apps 24/7 which you can't do with only one watch that needs charging. Couldn't decide on the color so I got 2 extra with a total of 3. Definitely overkill. Have not decided on the Series 3 yet. If I got one, I would go for the LTE version, but paying as much for ATT as the iPad did not satisfy me. And I'd have to get 2 (not 3 this time) and 2 additional data plans? Nope. Was discussing it with the manager of the ATT Store - said it should be less and/or allowing multiple Series 3 watches for the one cost. He said that although it uses less data than the iPad, being able to make voice calls is the trade-off.

3 of them! Wow if i could only afford another one that would be great. I sold my other one to best buy for store credit. Got my wireless charger with it. And now I wish I would not have. The battery was an issue, but if I only used it for the workouts that would great. Oh well. Live and learn. Thanks for the idea though.

Three was absolutely ridiculous. Probably shouldn't have even admitted that. Hope you enjoy the watch ...and the phone too.

I really like the phone so far, but then I just got it last night. How long did it take you to stop looking for the home button? I'll get the watch tomorrow afternoon. I'm excited about all my new tech stuff.

My first watch was / is a series 2 black stainless, and battery life is pretty decent I think— its Improved s lot since the original, I gather. I charge it for an hour or so in the evening before bed and I’m good to go, even 2 would be overkill for myself I think— that said, nothing wrong with your approach, I’m just curious how that works— do The watch app and health app collect one set of data as if you were just using one watch? I’d never even considered that possibility.

I've got a bunch of health/fitness apps - the ones on the watches: Health, HeartWatch, MayMyRun - They all integrate based on account. I think it's possible to combine for your daily goals on each watch, but I don't deal with that.

No, my phone was not in my hands on launch day, and it was 3 days delayed. It was totally worth the wait because I didn't have to battle the lines on launch day at the USP CC (did that with the 6s 2 years ago). My visit on Monday to the CC was calm, and phone backup/restore was easy-peasy.

Now that I have had the X for a full day, I honestly haven't missed the home button once and I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about FaceID, OLED burn in (on day 3??), screen size, etc. I have had all the iPhones except the iPhone 5, and this one really is as magical as the very first iPhone was (which I got on launch day).

Thanks for sharing the same passion as me here, I enjoyed all your updates :)

Thanks for your input. I think the complainers are a vocal minority. I've been through each launch except for the first one when I wouldn't sacrifice 3G for the first 2G iPhones. There will always be people complaining about something. Sometimes valid, often not. And even when valid, often making a mountain out of a mole hill. Enjoy your phone, like the great majority of us are doing.

Sorry to hear of your situation. Has Apple shipped another one to you already?
Nope. Another order appeared on my account yesterday with est. delivery date of 12/4-12/11 but the senior advisor keeps assuring me to ignore those dates it will be expedited. I’m like ok that’s great but when? It should’ve been overnighted to me already. That was Monday and tomorrow is Thursday. I’m loosing my patience. This is by far my worst experience with Apple. When my 6+ arrived chipped I sent pics and they quickly sent me a new one. This time UPS confirms that it was undeliverable and they chose to return it but I have to wait days for a replacement to be sent. The senior advisor has been really nice so I’m trying not to give her a hard time but I think it’s time to change my tone.

That is a shame. I was in the Apple Store in Manhattan Village yesterday and they told me they had been getting stock each day except yesterday. I'm just thinking if you had an excuse to go there, maybe for accessories, and spoke with the manager, he/she might hold a phone when the specific memory/color you want comes in. Just a thought.
