One phone:

Anchorage, AK, United States 11/03/2017 12:54 P.M. Arrival Scan
Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/04/2017 1:17 A.M. Departure Scan
Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/03/2017 10:07 P.M. Departure Scan
Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/03/2017 7:26 P.M. Arrival Scan

The other phone:

Incheon, Korea, Republic of 11/03/2017 7:26 P.M. Arrival Scan

What I think is going on - The individual phones are not scanned, but groups of phones. In Korea, the group containing my other phone missed a scan so it was not associated with UPS 99 and is not getting the subsequent scans. I bet it is still on the flight. It may not get any scans until after it leaves UPS 99 in Ontario. Probably will not get an arrival scan in Ontario either. After that I expect it to get scans again when no longer associated with UPS 99.

Just my theory.

I like the theory and I’m going with it!

I would think they’d go to Louisville next, but I’m good with Ontario! I’d just like to know it’s in the US, lol.

Just talked with a UPS rep. They don't have any more info than we do, but he said the scans can work the way I suggested. As far as Ontario, the schedule of UPS 99 is Anchorage to Ontario and my friend said there is little if any sorting done in Anchorage. So most likely after landing in Ontario, some phones will get an arrival scan. Then all should get subsequent scans. Those phones going to central or eastern US will go from Ontario to Louisville, the rest to various points in the west.

Well, I just had to request to pick up my device at a UPS Store since I can't pull off skipping work on Monday-- so it seems I may not see my device until Nov. 7, but it still beats the heck out of November 17-24, I'll take it ;)

Good info, thanks! I take comfort in knowing too that UPS still thinks it is on time.

Not sure if it helps but when i've had them hold my phone at UPS centers I usually am able to pick it up when they open (around 8 or 9 AM). So you may be able to get it before work?

Next stop, Ontario. Having mine held at the UPS CC in Sylmar, hoping it makes it there before morning, they are open for Sat pickups until 1:00PM

UPS rarely shows any updates over the weekend so we all will probably have to wait until Monday morning to find out where our phones are.

My last scan shows arrival in Anchorage at 12:54 pm. I was hopeful I might get it tomorrow as I am only about 50 minutes outside of Louisville. Not sure if it is still in anchorage or just missed a scan.

Hopefully— what I failed to mention is that when I was submitting the request, it gave me the 7th as a revised delivery date. We’ll see!

Also, I spent a few minutes with the X at the Apple store today. Loved it! Haven’t been this excited about a new iPhone since my first (4s). Can’t wait!

Nice! Were it a week earlier or a couple weeks later I’d be doing the same. Really is a fluke that I can’t pull it off this coming Monday.

I had the same happen when I chose to redirect the delivery to a UPS store for pickup. It said the 7th would be the new pickup date estimate and that is also the time I feel that the phone kinda went off the delivery rails and became stuck. When I went to the apple site to track my order, I saw, and still do, Shipment in Transit - Delayed and the next entry states Address correction.

If you have I️t held at a store then that’s what happens. You have to choose the hub or the customer center.
