Alright everyone, with Halloween and the month of October behind us, it’s time to bring on Thanksgiving and the November Challenges. What all do we have to do this month?

Yeah, probably not going to happen.

My October goal was to essentially more than double my move goal every day. That did not happen. November is to walk/run 175.4 miles. That is just less than six miles a day. Probably doable but not going to stress about it. I am not a runner and usually go 2.5-3 miles a day on a treadmill, plus other general walking. But I have a busy month ahead with less free time than normal, so I can't miss stuff just to get in extra miles. (I know a lot of runners easily go more than that daily, but that's just not me.)

I usually try to get most of these challenges, but if you actually hit them too many months in a row they start to get ridiculous. I'm all for being challenged, but they have to be reasonable.

Get one minute of exercise 30 times. (?!) I completed October by getting some number of steps/miles. My problem is nothing I do registers as exercise without my manually turning it on.

Didn't make September's challenge which was to walk/run 160 miles -- tried but I was about 25 miles shy. October's was burn 25,900 calories which I missed by just 1,055 calories. Kind of a bummer, but I could have done better.

November is walk/run 119.2 miles, which I can do.

19,600 calories or 646 calories per day.

Normally, that's a walk in the park, but I had hernia surgery and can't run for at least another 3 weeks. Speed walking just doesn't burn the same amount of calories.

My November challenge is to earn 2,490 minutes of exercise (83 per day). The Health app says that I earned 94 per day in October, and the Trends tap in the Activity app says that my 90-day average is 85 per day. So it is surprisingly reasonable.

Walk or run 298km. Not going to happen. I live my life on a bicycle and have never even come close. October was ridiculous as well.
I had to 328.5 last month.

my knees ached!

I’ve got to double my move ring 6 times this month. Move is set at 800. Doubled it today

Lol I got off light. My watch knows I’m a lazy b*stard and has asked me me to double my move ring.....twice
It depends on how you use the Move ring. I actually failed a double your Move ring twice challenge early in the year (February or March). Last month, I only doubled my Move ring three times (on my long run days). It typically takes a 14-mile run and a reasonably active rest of the day for me to double mine. I've run 12 miles twice this week without doubling mine yet.

To be fair I’m not massively active, but my move ring is only 450. It’s all relative, but my challenge is not hard like what I’m reading on here-talk about some mission impossibles.

Ok, first of all, props to our RINGleader, Jason Hensley who usually starts these threads, for going from “probably not gonna happen” to “I’m gonna go for it I think” over a period of about 4 hours. We are all pulling for you.

My challenge this month is to close all 3 rings 6 times. Very doable. Last month I closed them all 3 times and had 3 other days where my exercise ring was over half complete.

Also, November is the month where my “second job” of refereeing basketball starts to kick in a little higher gear. It started on October with a small spattering of games the past two weeks. I’m November, I’ll be working a couple afternoons a week doing the same, and Men’s Rec League kicks off Monday night which means I could be running 3 games a night another 2-4 nights per week. I normally do 2 or 3 nights.

Additionally, I noticed a week ago that my weight has been creeping up a bit again, so I made a commitment to myself that beginning November 1, I would either work games or get on the elliptical at least 5 days per week.

So, I’ve got this. Should have a completed report by next weekend. Kinda boring and anticlimactic really.

Lol I’ve actually got a SUPER busy day tomorrow, so might actually half complete my challenge by this weekend. Taking a cousin to 3 different galleries around London on public transport. If I don’t do it, there’s literally no hope for me.
