Is QuickOffice Pro HD worth the $20? I want to edit office documents and this seems like the best but i'm skeptical. I'm not doing the VPN thing for those other options.
My one gripe is why did OnLive mess with the keyboard--black keys too close together. Apple got the iPad keyboard right and OnLive broke it in their implementation.
My guess is MS Office for iPad is not going to appear (if ever) until there is a version of Office for the mobile version of Windows 8, and Windows 8 mobile is a ways off. In other words, a Windows tablet will have office before an IOS version for iPad.
I did some research last night as I wanted to edit an Excel spreadsheet. Numbers seems to have a poor track record with opening Excel on the iPad (even Pages, which I use a lot, loses a ton of formatting)
CloudOn got great reviews though. It works with Dropbox. I gave it a try (free) and it worked great. Very impressed.
