Dont go making accusations with out knowing facts. Stop "guessing" and read some threads with people having the exact same issues. There are some glaring bugs in the ios 7 GM for iPad. THATS IT!

My iPhone 4S froze yesterday and today when launching iTunes radio it reset itself. Other than that its been ok. But no matter what theres no excuse for the phone restarting itself even if this is a .0 release.

Oh god not the obnoxious A.D.D. kid video again. Yes thats not lag, but there actually is lag on the iPad 4 during animations. The rotation animation looks like its slower and more choppy than even an iPad 1.

I don't have to guess or make accusations. This entire thread takes care of that. Read my next post that I wrote and relax. It'll be okay. I asked a question which for most logical people means I am asking what their issues are.

Plenty of proof in the iPad 4 threads started recently.

While not Apple's fault and congruent with common sense, I can see people becoming up in arms about TouchID not working with gloves on.

true, but gloves on the screen have never worked either... unless you get the kind with the special tips.. (which im drawing a blank on the name ugh)

My iPhone 5 on 6.1.4 would completely freeze every so often and had to be hard reset, just from accessing the twitter widget in the lockscreen. Sometimes, glitches happen :)

I'm using my iPhone right now using gloves, nitrile lab gloves. Latex also work too. Sure, bulky winter gloves don't work, but I also own a pair of knit gloves with special fingertips that also work on the iPhone.

Removing swipe left to right was a stupid idea. This is the way I did it. It made sense because you could swipe, then the delete button would be right at your fingertip, rather than swiping right to left then having to bring your finger all the way back to the right side of the screen the tap the delete button.
I think that's part of the reason why it's right to left, so that you don't accidentally actually use the button that is revealed when you do a swipe, in a situation when you might be doing one unintentionally. With right to left not only is it a more intentional swipe (as it's not as "natural"/common as doing a left to right), meaning you actually mean to do it, but also doesn't place the revealed option right under your finger when you are done with the swipe, to avoid an accidental use of it if you might not actually mean to use it.

I kind of see it more of an oversight/mistake that it was available both ways in iOS 6 (and perhaps earlier) and now has been corrected to only leave the more appropriate way (usability wise) working.

What do you guys mean by laggy animations? If I touch an icon on my iPad the program opens up quickly. Do you guys mean there's now a delay between touching the icon and the program opening up?
Fine, I'll play. I am running beta 6 of iOS 7 on an iPhone 4S. I don't get any laggy animation issues. I've used android phones before and can't seem to detect anything wrong. I just wonder if this is all in people's heads.
It's there. The animations are longer in duration (by design it would seem--one of those form over function type of things), and they can't be interrupted.
There will not be a backlash over this. Most user's won't even notice. It's the hardcore ones like the ones here on these forums that need everything now now now now and can't wait half a second.
That remains to be seen. The difference between what the animations are like in iOS 6 (and earlier) to what they are like in iOS 7 is noticeable, even by the "non-techy". So, quite a few of those who have been using iOS 6 (and earlier) will likely notice it, and while quite a few of those won't really care or won't care enough, there will still be some (again, even outside the "techy" variety) who will care. I'm not saying it will necessarily turn into some sort of a "-gate" thing, but it doesn't mean that it won't be something that will be felt by quite a few.

That's not a bug, it's a feature.

I'm guessing we'll hear about people opening other people's iPhones via TouchID at approximately the same rate we heard about spontaneous iPhone 5 bending. Plus some TouchID electrocutions sprinkled here and there and it's likely going to involve people trying to see if TouchID works in the shower or after sticking their finger in their ass.
As long as there is still an option not to use TouchID if you don't want to, and use the same passcode/password options that exist for others without a 5S phone, it shouldn't be an issue really.
Also say goodbye to the big otterbox cases and lifeproof cases.

Gmail-gate?

How about that you can no longer limit how far back your Gmail or other email inboxes go back... Why leave it for the Exchange connector but not IMAP

GM greatly improved my battery on iPhone 5! I haven't had any problems at all. Everything is perfectly smooth. The only 'gate' is the update to iTunes 11.1 taking so god damn long to come out so I cannot restore my back up :(

Whilst not terrible, my battery life is worse than beta 6, even with a clean install.

You gotta admit, attaching -gate to things is fun.

That should be a start up question on iOS7:
Which age demographic are you?

I am, admittedly, a huge Apple fanboy – I am used to a certain level of quality from Apple. Sounds pretentious, I know, but honestly I'm very disappointed by how iOS 7 GM is with iPads. I think it's going to annoy a lot of people out there, and Apple has had criticism of new iOS updates making older devices slower or have worse battery life and the like, and I can see there being some level of outrage over this one on iPads especially.

iPad Bricked; Beta 6 expired

Well it has happened.
I was away in school all this time, but before I went, I got iOS 7 GM for my iPhone 5; however, I forgot to do the same for my iPad w/ Retina Display (4th gen) ('Cause I hardly use it) Now it's bricked. Tells me 'Activation Required' (got the beta illegally) and I can't reset it.

Any ideas?

Plug it into iTunes and put it into DFU mode, hold home and power button together until it powers off, then release the power button but keep holding down the home button, is successful iTunes should recognize that an I device is in recovery mode and hit restore :)
