This is a typical result of any of these mini threads:

1. Someone expresses their love for small devices and seeks to chat about it with other small device owners

2. Within 2 posts someone will pop in and say that small phones are stupid, the market only wants to buy big phones, people who like small phones are wrong, you can have choice as long as it agrees with their opinion - big devices.

Seems like this thread fit the mold precisely!
Must be a mine is bigger than yours thing. Those who disparage the minis often display a note of insecurity.

Yikes, wonder what did that. Altitude, temperature change or some kind of state brick-maker surveillance hardware?

(Tin hat on and tongue firmly planted in cheek;):D)
It’s a mystery. This took place at sea level, 80 F, I was using a ETL listed Belkin charger with PD and PPS, with an Apple oem cable. The mini backed itself up at 3am and by 7am had decided to fry itself. Repair place indicated they found scorch marks on the power rails to the NAND, so possibly a short, or the power management unit went bonkers and decided to pass the whole 5V into the NAND? The stores there no longer sold the mini. On the plus side my iPhone 15 comes with a physical SIM slot

I’ve been looking at the Apple Refurbished page for months, looking for a 128gb 13 Mini & found one 2 days ago - being delivered today. Had to settle for Black, but as a backup to my Launch Day 13 mini (battery health at 91%🙂) I’ll not complain. Lots of 12 Minis still there but didn’t want 256gb, nor to pay $509 for one, and when I first bought one I had lots of issues - screen/battery overnight drain - so that was not an option. Wouldn’t buy a used/refurbished phone anywhere but from Apple - you get a new case & battery, & operating system repaired if needed. Glad I checked 2-3 times a day for all those months as 30 minutes after I placed my order I went back just to make sure a different color hadn’t suddenly popped up — they were sold out. If you are as dedicated to having a 13 Mini for as long as possible - which I am - check the Refurbished page often - never know when one might show up - grab it immediately.
I went through the same exercise for over a few months and got the other black one available! Not sure how many more (if any) were available but they were gone in minutes.

Clearly trolling.

There's no way a consumer would logically reject technological advances many years beyond a device that reached end of life in 2021, just because it was slightly smaller...

Me who had the iPhone SE 2016 until 2023 when the 13 Mini dropped $100 in price…

I don't ever expect to see Apple come out with another phone like the 12 or 13 Mini. Unfortunately I saw the writing on the wall when the 12 Mini didn't appear to sell well after it launched. Anticipating the likelihood that the 13 Mini would be the last available non-SE small iPhone, I bought mine at launch in 2021. My battery health is still 93%, and I do have a MagSafe battery pack for the times when I need longer battery life without being able to charge.

Since smartphones are now a mature product, I don't see the need for updating my iPhone nearly as often as before. Each annual upgrade seems to be more and more incremental, mostly related to camera changes. My phone still runs very fast, takes iOS updates easily without any degradation in performance, and I have 256GB, which is more than adequate long-term storage. If my battery becomes an issue, I will just go to the Apple store and pay for a battery replacement. I am guessing that I will be using this phone for at least an additional 2 years, and at the time it has to be replaced, I will just buy the smallest available phone model that will be available (probably a 6.1"). But looking back, I think this iPhone Mini will always be my all-time favorite. This is the only iPhone that I have genuinely loved.

Note that the 6.1” iPhones are less than the diameter of a dime taller than the mini.
What may seem like a small difference to you, is a large difference to those with smaller hands and pockets. When compared against the 13 mini, the 15 Pro has greater height by 15.1 mm, a greater width by 6.4 mm, and a greater weight by 45 grams. Not negligible differences. They add up to a very noticeable degree. I have an iPad, a MacBook, and Apple TV. I don't need or prefer a large screen on my mobile.

I recently had an iPhone 13 mini in my hands and i must say, it was very convenient and absolutely ok for me. Also extremely pocketable, i liked it a lot. Only inconvenience was, to always use it, i would have to wear reading glasses, cause i'm already suffering from age foresight... :/

iphone 15 pro is the perfect upgrade for iPhone mini users.
Seriously disagree, and for good reason! If you consider the 18.5% volumetric difference between the 15 Pro Max and 15 Pro significant, then you have to consider the 32% difference between the 15 Pro and 13 mini significant.

I tried a 15 Pro for a week and returned it.

won't matter anyway soon mini is gone, re sale has tanked no one wants them, very niche, if you have one will have to go bigger sooner or later anyway

Just in case you aren’t aware, you can change the text size system-wide in accessibility settings.
Thank you, i know and have bigger fonts already enabled on my 12 Pro, but the screen on the 13 mini is smaller, so i would have to increase the size even more, getting less text shown on the screen.
This is only momentarily a problem, cause in the future i will probably always wear progressive lenses. I liked everything else on the minis though. Unfortunately Apple decided to dismiss them...

Does the smaller phone have smaller text by default? I assumed it was the same size text on the larger phone and just more text on the screen (by default).

Please point me to where I can find these tanked price 13 minis, I need to buy some to keep as backups. On swappa they’re still going for $350-425 for the base 128GB models. Where are these sub $200 ones you speak of?
