is there any way to force it to grab the update? stuck on 10.470 and it wont pull it

I have the same problem but since I got the app via the HDD I bought I don't have a paragon account. Anyone has an idea on how to fix that?

hmm now im getting the client not authorized message when trying to update

I noticed the same thing here when I checked for updates. I loaded Paragon as part of my Seagate One Touch Hub's software package.
so does the seagate version upgrade to 10.590? or are u also stuck on an earlier version that doesnt work quite yet

they finally got back to me and said the wd "free" version is currently being worked on and a link to purchase the full version at a discount if i didnt want to wait

I am unable to find a version number for my installation, nor can I find an update button to check. I am not happy with the run around I see on Paragon websites. Basically it just funnels you into purchase first find out later. I am not going to mess with it. First I am going to get a NAS and load my NTFS files into it from my PC.

I have problem with mounting NTFS external drives on Mac Ventura 13.3, only what I can do is to mount
them in Read Only Mode. I remember I had similar problem when I got some update for Catalina on my
old Macbook Pro. What I did is I used some commands via Terminal to mount external drives in read-
write mode(found some article online how to do it). Then they released new update and everything
worked fine again without any walk around.

Now the same happened after the recent update of Ventura (before the update it had worked fine), it is
really annoying and I can not figure out how can I lunch the drive via Terminal without installing any
additional apps. I reinstalled Paragon (what comes with Seagate drive) few times and it didn’t help. My version is the latest: Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software (15.10.538)

Maybe somebody knows how to mount drives with Terminal while waiting for the next update?
Thank you!

By read only I assume you mean that you cannot copy them over. This is all I want to do. I have the drives stored from the defunct PC and I just want to copy their content to a drive that my Mac Studio has full access to. An NAS will do that for me. I Think what I am going to do is update my PC. I have no interest in assembling a new one. ASUS has some very powerful Ryzen based machines that have the form factor of the Mac Studio. Unlike the Mac Studio you can add RAM, mount larger SDD's in them, even update the CPU I am not a fan of Windows but I have to keep it around to operate my ham radios.

I can copy(that's good thing)! What I can not is: to put/transfer anything on the drives. I thought maybe I should reformat all my drives in Mac OS Extended format since there is no PC in my house, so I do not need NTFS. But before reformat I have to transfer or copy somewhere else those files, otherwise all will be gone... but I do not have additional 5TB space. (by the way I have Mac mini m1)

I wrote to Paragon to get an update(15.10.590) for my free version of NTFS for Mac from Seagate, It seems there will be answer to get paid version or something. We will see...

Here is a cheap way to handle NTFS files. I purchased one of these 2 years ago it has run without a hitch every since. All I did after I purchased it was upgrade it to 16 gig's of RAM. At Amazon you can pick one up for $97 bucks. Amazon has a company that refurbishes them. They are all from corporate leases. What they do is check them for function and install a new SSD that is loaded with Windows 10 Pro. This computer is not much larger than a external HDD. Plug it into the network your NAS lives on, plug your NTFS drives into this little PC and copy them over to the NAS, and from there your Mac can see them. The only trouble I have had with the Lenovo is occasional Patch Tuesday flu.

With the Lenovo above you don't have to transfer all of the files at once you can pick up a 1TB SSD for about $50 bucks and transfer the files in 500 GB chunks.

And do they come with a *valid* Win10Pro license?
Oh please, Amazon is selling these refurbished computers in partnership with Microsoft. When I received this PC the box was from Microsoft. You have a registration code included in the box to register it's windows 10pro installation with Microsoft when you booted it up for the first time. It has been getting updates without a hitch for over 2 years now with Microsoft confirming I am running a legitimate copy.

It is a fantastic deal. It tells you it is not eligible for Windows 11, but for $98 bucks who cares. Amazon has a bunch of refurbished PC's like this. The most expensive are going for $250 or so bucks and they have quad core i7's in them. As I said this is a good solution to the NTFS thing. Just get a NAS drive and use this PC which is on the same network to load the NTFS files. I have decided to get a Synology 220X it and a couple of 10 or 12 TB HDD's and I will be good to go. The Synology Diskstation is a RAID 1 system, and has a hot swap system with one disk backing the other.

Did they say when the free version will be available for Seagate?

Updated: I spent yesterday deleting and reloading the Paragon NTFS app frequently. This morning I decided to look at something else and it seems I was reloading an older version on Paragon. This morning I downloaded the Paragon NTFS version 15.10.538 and everything is working just fine. I think originally I may have had two versions which were in conflict with each other. So I uninstalled, went into the Library and deleted everything Paragon and started over.

Original post:
Yesterday, my Seagate was working just fine. We have it set up for use on the Mac and PC since we have also used it to transfer files between the two. This morning when I turned on my Mac there was an upgrade for the Paragon NTFS which I installed and then my Seagate disappeared. I finally was able to get it to mount but it is currently in read only.
When I click on the NTFS app the "Grand Full Access to NTFS" page appears, which I have gone through multiple times until I get to the last page which has the Retry button on it. When I click on it nothing happens, and my Seagate is still mounted but only as Read Only.
Is this the same problem others are having. Like former posters my Paragon is part of the Seagate package, so I also do not have a Paragon account.

Thanks for any insight,
Mary
