When should we draw the line between picky and flawed?

I think all the people who have 'perfect' new MBPs, their owners just haven't noticed or don't care about some of these 'flaws'.

Like mentioned, if you return it you will probably get another laptop with the same problems, maybe worse, maybe not as worse, but it seems almost for sure something will be there.

Maybe I'm wrong, could someone with a perfect screen come forward and post a pic as proof?

I purchased a CTO MBP on OCT 14th from the Apple Store. The left fan was buzzing and vibrating my entire machine. Totally unacceptable.

So I Went 70 miles to the nearest apple store. They said they could fix it. I got a phone call the next day saying it was my fan, but the MBP is too new of a model, the Fans are not yet in stock. So I had that Apple Store mail it back and I got a replacement machine, which is still on its way, I should get it tomorrow via Fedex.

Now, after all this time, I finally will get a Machine to use. If this one is not toally perfect, I will ask for a refund. The only way they can keep my business here is offer me a completely free Machine.

In the words of George W. Bush (lol): "Fool me once.... shame.. on me....Ya fool me ya cant fool me again." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKgPY1adc0A

I really don't see that happening. They will not give you a free (even if it has a defect) laptop after all the costs they had from returning etc.. The only scenario I can see this happening in is if you ordered 9 more laptops and really created business for Apple. But no way if you are just another guy who ordered one single laptop.

If I would be the store manager I would apologize for all the problems you had, offered you a free mighty mouse, keyboard, sleeve or Mac game and promised you a speedy replacement.

Nothing's perfect. Even if it is, eventually it will degrade. Like it used to scratch-free, you might get a scratch or scuff. Stop this POS OCD nonsense. Be glad they offer you free items and actually are willing to help you. If you want hackintosh, which by the way it sounds, you want one real bad, then go for it. Stop bitching in this thread. I agree that the LCD thing is a defect, but anything cosmetic is just ridiculous.

For those of you that think all Apple notebooks are this bad, it's not. It's just the fact that no one with a perfect MB/MBA/MBP will post here singing songs about it. Most don't even know about Macrumors. I sure didn't when I had a perfect iBook (on the first try, at Fry's). My MacBook is perfect too. The ppl with problems complain here so it seems like there are so many defects.

I just stumbled upon this satisfied buyer, but 98% ppl who post about their purchase are the ones with defects. Only 2% post about their good experiences. But a few hundred or even thousand defects are normal when you sell millions of macs.
