While the video is obviously fake, for what it's worth I remember back to 2003 when there was image leaks of what was supposedly the next PowerMac. I remember people screaming "fake! Apple wouldn't design anything like that" about the "cheese grater" looking design and desperately grasping for straws trying to find Photoshop evidence (angles off, reflections, blurry pic, etc).

Not long after, the PowerMac G5 debuted...and it indeed matched what the leaked photos had leaving those people looking kind of ridiculous. ;)

so my dad was watching Nightly Business Report and they mentioned that they went online and found a number of mock-ups. They said that they images ranged in design and size and that they are likely not real; I said to myself " Why are you giving these photoshopped mockups any kind of voracity? Not only is every image you see fake, but I am willing to bet that Apple themselves have seen these and laughed and said "These nerds have no idea"

Well, look at the depth of the ports. That thing would have to be more than an inch thick (which is not what is depicted) for it to have those ports.

Geo-Location

I noticed the camera appears to be be an iPhone camera, just the shape and grain level of the image.

So i saved the second and third pics, and opened them in Preview...the tagging indicated it is an iPhone camera, and it also has GPS coordinates.

"37.2986666667,-121.9580000000" is the longitude and latitude embedded in the photos. Shows up in San Jose.

Though it also indicates that the file was processed with Photoshop, which adds the possibility of all the metadata being falsified.

just sharing my discovery...my $0.02

The tablet in the video has a screen aspect ratio of 4:3 and I'm pretty sure Apple would NEVER release a 4:3 tablet.

Why even spend the time and money making fake products which are regarded useless as soon as the real product is released??

Especially 2 days before the thing comes out...?

Its completely ridiculous and a waste of time?!!??!?!!

i don't care if there fakes they look good and i am eagerly anticipating the release of the tablet and what ever they decide to call it.

jobs is a master genius

If the photos are real, then it’s really disappointing that Apple hasn’t learned anything from a major pitfall of the iPhone. These devices were intentionally engineered to be dropped. Here we have another super slick and very slippery device with extremely poor ergonomics.

Conversely, those handheld devices you see in the hands of Apple Store employees are the exact opposite. They are rubber coated and shock mounted. Think about it. If only 5% of owners drop and damage their iPhone, iPod or now the iPad, Apple wins!

Too funny...

Interesting all the time and effort someone may spend making these mockups...

Specially the third one with Firewire 400!!!

Hope Apple surprises you with something better than these "concepts"

Fair do's!

The carpet looks quite uniform in places though. Like some bits have been repeated i.e. cloned. Guess not.

Carpet?!?! how far are you looking into these images??
i know some people can spot bad photoshop, but looking at cloned carpet,

Carpet is supposed to be the same?!?!

I think ive gone off topic, hmm, i wonder where my teeth are...

shoes?
