    I just did the update!

finally an update that actually has some result you can notice!

i used my test video which is a 1080P copy of the dark knight

before the update when connected to my 24" acer lcd with dvi running max res 1920x1200

fan speeds would hover around 4.7k

after update fan speeds never exceed 2.8k!

edit:test computer is my work unibody pro with 4gb ddr3 ram
    with 9600m gt with 256ddr3.

Just did this on my MacBook Air RevB. I'll have to test it.

    NVIDIA Graphics Update 2009 v1.0

    Hi

I've just run Software Update and the above came up.

Can't remember exactly what it updated but it was something to do with improving cursor when using the Mini Display Port and improves HD playback (I think).

Again, I think it was suitable for Unibody MacBook, MacBookPro and MacBook Air - 2009.

    A restart is required.

Well it doesn't show up on mine (Penryn) so it must only be for the Unibodies, Mac Pros and iMacs.

Before I wasn't able to watch 1080p with the 9700 512mb on the macbook pro (it was really choppy with unstable frame rates). Now it's fixed!

I noticed my non-Apple, second monitor at work looks much better.:)

Have not tried it with the LED Cinema Display yet.
