Why is this relevant? Apple doesn't (and will probably never) support OpenCL 2.x anyway, given that their focus has been on Metal since its release.

Since their apps (i.e. FCPX) use OpenCL, they probably will support OpenCL 2.

OpenCL 2.0 has HSA 2.0 compliance.

Its not important for Apple. Its important for the industry.

OpenCL 2 has unified virtual memory, where the GPU and CPU use the same memory addresses. That's a huge change that affects the macOS kernel and the entire driver/framework stack. Given that CL 2.0 was released nearly 4 years ago and Apple has shown no indication that they will support it, and have since released their own API with Metal, I just don't think OpenCL or OpenGL is a priority for Apple.

As far as I know, Thelma Schoonmaker is the only big editor who still uses Lightworks. Apparently she has a separate assistant who's main job is to convert material from Lightworks to Avid for the rest of the departments.

Do all rx 460 work on mac pro 5, 1? I heard some single slot rx 460 don't work...

As far as I know, the brand of RX 460 that works OOB are the Gigabyte RX460 Windforce OC 4GB or 2GB variant. I can confirm this on my end.

If i purchased non flashed version of 1080/1080ti, will the PCIE speed on bootcamped mac - windows 10, run at 1.0 or 2.0? I understand that flashed cards by macvidcards will set the video card at PCIE 2.0 and nonflashed cards run at PCIE 1.0.

Per the FAQ thread, unflashed cards run at PCIe 1.0 under Windows.
