I was just checking o2's online shop when I was met with this page. I would presume this is for pre-orders or something of the sort for the iPhone.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot for you.

UPDATE: As of 8AM the store is now taking orders.

Dang-diddly-ang!

I was going to post this, but I found the German version of Nena's "99 Red Balloons" online and one thing led to another and by the time I got round to it, GAS had beaten me too it.

Hope it's back up soon :D

P.S. Nena and Kim Wilde released a cracking single called Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime fairly recently.

As far as I have heard pre ordering was to begin either monday or tuesday at 12pm, but we will soon see :)

The text behind the images:

"Thanks for visiting the O2 Online Shop

Due to extremely high demand, we're unable to process orders online at present.

For details about the iPhone, please visit http://www.o2.co.uk/iphone.

To find out more about our latest deals please call
0844 800 2200
Or visit o2.co.uk to find out more about our products and services "

(It's readable if you check the source code for the page out)

So basically they're overlaying graphics saying that the upgrade online shop is currently unavailable, but hidden underneath is a text based message saying that due to demand they aren't processing orders online at present...

The graphics's text kind of indicates that the upgrade online shop will be available soon :)

O2 Now Taking Orders.

Just got an E-mail saying they are taking orders on their site from 8am this morning. Contract only from what I can see in the E-mail which is a major disappointment even though I already knew from the CPW E-mail last week and the "Later this year" things...I still held hope lol.

Did anyone get the text? I was woken up with O2 telling me it was now available online! Hurry up and finish maintenance. How about delivery? Does everyone think most will be delivered on Friday? Or is it worth just going to a store?

1st come 1st serve... Get in there quick and ull get it quick :)

I have a question:

I'm unsure exactly how much money I've got in my account so would I be able to purchase it with another member of my family's card? I have the cash just not in my account and I fear the time I've went to the bank and paid money in I'll be too late!

despite signing up almost immediately after the pre-reg started, I have never received an email or text from them, they clearly think i'm geeky enough to find it myself.

I think you should definitely go to a store and leave the delivery ones to me. i mean to save yourself the hassle. yeah, that's definitely it.
