Me too probably. I have a 2G and a 3G to sell which should cover a large chunk of a PAYG, thus leaving my contract in tact for next year! I haven't committed to buying one out loud yet though. Am kidding myself that I will sit this one out but I know I won't... :D

i want to upgrade tomorrow evening.

2 problems:

1: working tomorrow so may be sold out by the time i get to a store around 7pm.

2: can anyone confirm if you can buy out of your current contract in an o2 store and then pick up a new phone straight away? or a CPW store for that matter?

Cheers

Also im sure the answer is out there, but can the payg phones be used on contract with my existing 3g contract?

Yes.

Also, I just rode past my local CPW and O2 stores... no one there, 3Gs window displays are up and both stores opening at 9am. I'm going down just before to soak up the atmosphere (there was none last year but heres hoping!).

cheers jon

now theres the decision, of buying a PAYG for £440 or buying out my contract at £210 and then the phone for about £185.

Obviously cheaper to buy out but the PAYG gives me the option of upgrading again next year if there is another new iphone!!

Decisions decisions.

Whats everyone else who is upgrading doing?

There's really no point buying out your contract. Think how you're going to feel same time next year when you're in the same position as you are now because you signed up again. PAYG might be a bit more expensive depending on your circumstances but it leaves you free for the next round and, if you're wanting to upgrade now, you'll sure as hell want to upgrade next year as well ;)

excellent to hear, i needed someone to tell me that. if someone else has told me that, it must be right :)
lets just hope trafford centre has 16gb in white left at about 7pm.

fingers crossed.
