Yep, seems like it. I'm thinking we'll see our phones Monday then. I'm gonna check throughout the day and see if my date moves up.
I wish I didn't stress so much... I'm legit losing sleep over this damn phone. Happens every year. Maybe I need that Xanax... Lmao.
So it looks like if you got worldwide express saver shipping that your phone left last night, and if you have expedited shipping that your phone is getting ready to board the next flight out of China. Wish I would have gotten the express saver, I would have paid extra but there was no option. Why did Apple upgrade some and not others?
For those whose most recent status shows a 7:10 arrival scan in China yesterday (9/19):
Don't know if it has been reported here already, but. .. .
I just spoke with UPS (got transferred to a special department handling Apple shipments). She says my shipment (I guess the whole pallet or pallets) was selected for a "security scan" which was not completed until 6:00 AM this morning. She says the package is now cleared but has NOT left China yet (as of 11:00 AM EST today).
When I asked when I would receive it, at first she said "Monday" because it was "overnight" - but when I noted that the website still said Thursday the 25th with World Expedited, she said "oh, I see here - yes, you'll get it on the 25th." I asked if there was any chance of getting it here earlier, she said "no." So I have no idea whether she was falling back on the 25th date just to "hold the company line" and I might get it sooner, or if she was being 100% accurate and I am stuck at the 25th. Hard to see getting it Monday if it is still in China . . .

I explained it a few posts ago. Apple paid for express shipping for some and expedited for others, so UPS ships the express first, which is why some are arriving Monday-Tuesday (the express ones) and some Wednesday-Thursday (the expedited ones). It sucks that Apple didn't pay for express for all of us though.
I'm pretty sure they do Saturday delivery for iPhones. I'm not sure about Sunday, although I have received a package on Sunday before, but it was from Amazon, and I don't remember if it was from UPS.
Saturday is a special class, but if your tracking doesn't say out for delivery yet don't count on it. No Sunday deliveries, but planes and trailers do move all weekend.
if Apple did express for all of us UPS would crush
I think that all the iPhones are ships as they finish assembly and go out by order, I don't think they have time to start playing with type of shipping
Wasabi, that is incorrect. I have Expedited, and it left last night on the 1:45 flight. Still shows delivery of 9/25

Well that's good to know then, I was just assuming express would take precedence if there was a backlog. When we have a disaster at UPS, we start making sure the Next Day shipments get first priority, then work on the lower shipments and upgrade them if need be for guaranteed delivery.
They must have a plan to get our entire wave of orders out and to the USA by Monday morning, so I assume there's multiple flights on their way back to Anchorage right now that are going to refuel and head to China to get the rest of our phones.

This is the internet. Clearly I can never forgive you and I will forever carry this perceived insult that will propel me to duel you to the death should you ever have the misfortune of meeting me.
By the way, 3 UPS flights about to hit Anchorage within the hour, so I imagine after refueling and crew change we'll be seeing planes heading to China to pick up our phones in a couple of hours. Maybe late tonight (12-16 hours from now) we'll see a departure scan.

Yesterday Apple said Sept 26 and UPS said Delayed. Apple hasn't sent an updated date, but now today UPS says In Transit again!
I had a feeling when I woke up this morning that I would wind up getting into a duel to the death, I just didn't know it was going to be before lunch!
We have to be patient with the tracking information. The scan that showed up for some of us for 1:45AM, was sometime yesterday afternoon or earlier here in the states - so that update was a good 16 hours behind.
my question for you is, if they are arriving in louisville from this flight (mine also departed at 1:45 am like everyone else) and I am in louisville, it really wouldn't make me wait till thursday (scheduled date to deliver) to receive my phone, right..?
