I explained it a few posts ago. Apple paid for express shipping for some and expedited for others, so UPS ships the express first, which is why some are arriving Monday-Tuesday (the express ones) and some Wednesday-Thursday (the expedited ones). It sucks that Apple didn't pay for express for all of us though.

That would make sense, if we both didn't have the same service...

I work in the Internationals shipping department at UPS. World Ease has nothing to do with your service level, and has everything to do with speeding up customs clearance by shipping dozens or hundreds of boxes with the same set of customs papers. We have so many confusing names and acronyms for things at UPS that I don't even know them all after 14 years. lol

sorry

checked the packages and they are both:

Why aren't you getting all our phones delivered yesterday? ;);)

after talking with ups again, it looks like we will all get it 1 day earlier than what apple's email stated. i was quoted the 24th, rep said id get it 23rd.

at the end of the day, WAY better than oct 1-6.

lol, i think apple knew all along.

Got a bit of a dilemma...mine shows the following:

ZhengZhou, China 09/20/2014 1:45 A.M. Departure Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/19/2014 9:48 P.M. Location Scan
09/19/2014 6:52 P.M. Origin Scan
China 09/19/2014 9:49 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

The UPS site also shows early delivery for Monday. I won't be home on Monday so I'd like to pick it up from the UPS center Monday morning. Using the "UPS My Choice" promo someone generously posted earlier, I was able to create an account and attempted to change delivery on my package to "Hold for Will Call". This shows me the detail of :

Pickup Location: UPS Location
UPS CC - PARSIPPANY
799 JEFFERSON RD
PARSIPPANY, NJ, US 07054

Telephone: 800-742-5877
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 7:30 P.M.
Package Available: Monday, 09/22/2014
Pick Up By: Friday, 09/26/2014*

Does this definitely mean that I would be able to go the UPS center when they open at 7:30am and pick it up Monday morning? When I called UPS and asked them the same question, they said they must make one delivery attempt and that I wouldn't be able to pick it up until Tuesday.

I don't want to screw up my options of getting it on Monday...

People, many of you are more experienced with UPS than I am...please advise!

Unfortunately, I only ship them OUT of the USA. :/

Trust me, I'm just as anxious or even more anxious than you are. Imagine my pain working Friday seeing all of the customers coming in to pick up their phones all night at Will Call. Ugh. lol

Looks to me you put in for a Will Call pick up. If that's what the site says, the yes you can pick it up Monday.

If you really need to calm your nerves, just give them a call 1-800-PICK UPS (7425877)

So what does UPS worldwide expedited mean? Is that just international side or will it move faster domestically.

Tried calling but they claimed they couldn't see service level and just repeated what tracking shows as 9/25.

Am I the only one in this group that's STILL stuck in processing items? It's getting very old and aggravating that it still has not changed

Yeah no change this morning. I'm starting to feel crazy like Chevy Chase stuck in a London Roundabout from "European Vacation" - 'Look kids..Big Ben, Parliament!'

We're surrounded by all this excitement and I want to know that feel! ...lol AH hell.

Yeah, that 1-800 number is WORTHLESS. They never know what they're talking about.

Worldwide Expedited is the international equivalent of 2nd Day Air domestic. You'll notice it will have a number 2 on the right side of your tracking label when you get it.

Worldwide Express is the international equivalent of Next Day Air domestic, and as such has to be delivered before 10:30 am in the morning. Worldwide Express Saver means that it gets delivered any time the day it's out for delivery, so just a few hours later than regular express.

The thing is, Express will get flown into your town so as soon as it hits Louisville it will board a flight to your nearest UPS hub/airport and be there that day, whereas Expedited will fly part of the way, and jump on a trailer and possibly take an extra day or two getting driven to your area.

We won't know until UPS updates their tracking though, they may just fly all the iPhones out of Louisville to deliver them early because there's so many of them.

They say if it depends on final destination? Don't want to get my hopes up.
