Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

I think they're taunting those of us that still have a Thursday delivery.

Not only are we going to fly it right over your head in a few hours, but we're also going to park it in Kentucky until Tuesday evening, and then let it sit at the Seattle airport all day Wednesday until we finally put it on a truck Thursday morning.

I got an anchorage departure of 217pm I'm in boston what are the odds it makes it here tomorrow? I selected hold for pickup so even if it misses the morning truck load could I still get it tomorrow? It has tomorrow as an estimated delivery

I suspect anyone aside from people living in region around Chicago will get their shipment routed there.

One guy who was on the Osaka plane (that's supposed to go to Chicago) got into UPS109 which is to Louisville.

Looks like they unload the shipment in Anchorage and re-load accordingly since Louisville is the Worldhub.

Once at cruise most big jets will be going around 500-600mph. UPS109 is currently listed as 490 kts which is 563mph (multiply kts by 1.15).

When below 10,000 ft planes are restricted to 250 kts, and as low as 200 kts when close to airports. On top of that, the departure / arrival procedures can specify additional speed restrictions.

So a lot of time can be lost that way, which for short flights makes a big difference.

It takes 2-3 hours from Louisville to the east coast by plane...
 
Question:
Anyone else have the departure from AK at 2:17 and their delivery default back to early delivery today, 09/22?!?!?

I mean obviously I know it's not going to be in my hands today, just found it to be odd. Hell, this whole shipment has been odd.

SoCal resident here. Upon landing at Anchorage, AK, my UPS status updated to "3 business days remaining" which is no change to the 9/25 I originally received.

I hope you all get it sooner!
 
So if my UPS guy consistently shows up later in the day (often like 4-8pm window), have we decided if having it held at a UPS location a few miles from my house is GOOD or BAD?

Meaning I would be able to pick it up in the morning instead of waiting all day for him to deliver in the afternoon?
