is there any chance that mine was on this plane heading to Ontario??? sry if this has been answered before...

btw. i live 30 min away from ontario so it would be great news for me that the phone is heading directly to me right now

it should beat all the other flights into the US. If you get a arrival scan before the others land then you are good. Either way you are fine there are plenty of flights from Louisville to Ontario flights tonight. You would still get a delivery tomorrow.

Anchorage to Louisville, landing around 1:30 AM....from there straight to Newark, on a freight truck to my local facility, out for delivery tomorrow morning. That's what I'm guessing.

Amazing how this stuff works.

UPS 77 to Ontario, CA lands in about 1 hour and 20 minutes so I am praying for a scan! If not, looks like the University of Louisville!

Im on UPS81 to Louisville right now. I'm in sacramento CA. Any idea what plane out of Louisville would be coming my way tonight?

It's totally possible. I posted this before (typical Amazon.com orders route for my Prime shipments):

Remember this is how UPS operates their network... if you look at all the UPS flights right now, you'll see almost every plane in the US is headed to Kentucky... UPS runs just about every overnight shipment through there... to simplify the plane routing... basically everything comes in around midnight.. everything leaves within 4 hours of that and heads off ... they do it every day.. maine to Cali, Washington to Florida... all planes go to Kentucky... as long as the airport is open and the warehouse has power... and the planes land in time for normal shipments (2am-ish?) they *can* make it to anywhere in the US by tomorrow. http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/UPS the whole us fleet

the question is: What did Apple pay for? Did they pay for "as quick as possible"... or did they pay for "no later than 25th" .... I would assume the latter... thus why there are expedited and savers together... letting UPS "balance" the load out.

I'm in Lake Forest, CA (near Irvine) hoping my phone is on the Ontario flight as well. I just got told I have to be on a business trip leaving Thursday morning (the 25th, which is when UPS says my phone is supposed to be delivered.) I can't miss this trip.....so UPS Gods, tomorrow or Wednesday - LET'S DO THIS!

I think those with a departure scan of 4:19pm from Alaska must be on a flight to Louisville. I am in Houston and the only UPS flight arriving to Houston tomorrow morning is flight 772 out of Louisville scheduled to arrive at Bush Intercontinental at 4:05am.

This is giving me a little bit of hope. :) We shall see early tomorrow morning!

I'm in the same boat, Mr. Badger! Either way our phones could be in SoCal by sunrise but I'm not getting my hopes up. UPS will probably fly them to Hong Kong or something so we get them 9/25 :D

#Shanghai'd

:apple:

So this is hilarious, do you know where the phrase "Shanghai'd" comes from? Well sit back, it's story time! Back in the day when the Pac NW and SF were booming the demand for sailors was so high that "entrepreneurs" would install trap doors in a bar's floor and drop it on unsuspecting drunkards. Then these poor ******** were forced into slave labor servicing the TPAC shipping routes.

So really, compared to that, your (and my) new iPhone sitting in shanghai for 2 days isn't that big of a deal.:D
