never been my hero. i've been following this thread all weekend (like so many others) and i've seen that the so-called ups employees' information (we've had a couple of them in here claiming to work for ups) has been wrong 99.9% of the time.

We have not been wrong 99.99% of the time. We are simply giving our knowledge of how the company runs. We are trying to actually help you people understand the logistics part of the business. Stop being so negative or you will end up with a defective iPhone.

I'm going to say that if your phone is scheduled to show up Wednesday/Thursday, that it will leave ZhengZhou around 4-5 am EST (about 7 hours from now), and still be in Louisville by Wednesday morning at the latest.

I don't think they missed a scan at this point, I think they legitimately haven't left yet.

As I said earlier (but nobody wanted to listen to me), they probably are indeed still in China, and will leave in about 2 hours from now and can still make delivery as early as Tuesday morning.

Remember when this UPS employee got it wrong? I don't either. :)

Well they went through customs I assume at Alaska not in KY. But you are probably right on when they update during the flight from KY to NV.

I'll be willing to bet youll see your import scan in KY... unless your shipment went to KONT instead of Ky...

man, these phones are going all over the place...

From Ontario, CA , should we expect these to go to our final destinations (Texas for myself), or make a stop in Louisville?

I would expect almost all phones to go through Louisville (just how UPS operates), but I could see them calling an audible because of high volume of Apple shipments with record sales and all. Either way, you should know in the next 3 hours for sure.

They better not leave Ontario! That would delay them... Although, still would be enough time to get there and back, but, kinda a waste since that whole plane is filled with iPhones.

Kudos to all

My guess is that you will see an arrival scan when it gets to Louisville. They will unload the plane and the packages will go down the belt and will be sorted onto the plane that will be heading to your hometowns. You will see a departure scan and that should recalculate your delivery date. That is the main hub and it will sort out any of the tracking issues.

Hope you are right.
After the Apple 3 am EST preorder debacle
And then the Shanghai 3 day kidnapping
Looking forward to UPS 81 arriving in Louisville
And flight to Va
Would like to wake up to notice that delivery is 9/24 instead of 9/25

What a ride

Louisville, KY, United States 09/23/2014 12:18 A.M. Arrival Scan

Like a boss. :D

Delivery estimate changed from an early delivery for today (fail) to tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/23), as originally shown.

Spent enough time on this thread for today. My phone will be in KY tonight. What will tomorrow bring? Will it make it to TX tomorrow? Will it be Wednesday? Will it be Thursday? What suspense, what fun! Have a lovely evening my friends and I'll see you back here in the morning!

Those flights are part of the Apple distortion field. They're not real flights.

Yeah but just because they are UPS flights from Alaska it doesn't mean they have your phone on it. Possible maybe but since they do all the next day sorting in Louisville I would say it is going there. It would be interesting to see in about an hour how many people think they are going straight to California and then have an arrival scan in Louisville.

The reason everybody thought their phones were kidnapped was that there are no UPS flights out of ZhengZhou or Shanghai on the weekend so after we missed the Friday flight because of the security scan, the phones were all waiting for the daily M-F 5 pm China time scheduled flight. Remember that for next year.

As far as you Shanghai crew, it seems like UPS shipped them over rail/trailer to Shanghai to alleviate stress on the ZhengZhou shipments that went out Monday afternoon there. UPS will operate a lot of trailers, rail cars, and flights over the weekend (even though we don't deliver weekends), but for some reason the major China airports don't fly UPS planes out on the weekend, which is how I knew exactly when they were gonna leave.

"The new route, from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport to the Republic of Korea's Incheon International Airport, the country's biggest aviation hub, will operate from Monday to Friday on Boeing 767 aircraft, the sources said.

It will allow air transportation between China's inland areas and Europe, the United States and other Asian regions, as Incheon International Airport operates direct flights these destinations."
