7:10 1:34 9/25

I've been reading 99% of all posts and the only ones that I have read from the 1:34 group with an import scan are those with former 9/23 delivery dates that got moved up to 9/24.

None of the 1:34 group with 9/25 delivery dates (and was never changed since the very beginning) have received an import scan yet.

I wonder if it could be that they may be scanned, but we're not getting any updates because their getting everyone with earlier delivery dates scheduled for delivery tomorrow and then will start updating those who were scheduled for Thursday delivery, where room is available? Wild speculation...

Bingo, they are being sorted by delivery date at this point. If you have a today or Wednesday delivery estimate, then you'll get it those days. Those with Thursday deliveries will probably not get out of Louisville until late tonight at the rate they are processing them.

For the most part the delivery estimates are holding up.

This is correct, as far as I can tell. This is what I am waiting on.

30 mins until I can start freaking out according to our resident UPS know it all.

I say that with the kindest of jest I can muster. ;)

In 30mins our "resident" UPS know it all will be like:

It feels as though that the Express Savers are getting the Import Scan from flight 99 that had a arrival scan of 1:34am last night. I have Expedited and I have no scan. Maybe the Expedited deliveries that are slated to be delivered 9/25 will get that scan tomorrow.

I definitely saw some people this morning who went from Thursday to Wednesday when they got their import scans. We will know before 4-5 pm, because that's when most of the planes start leaving Louisville.

Serious question guys, how do you think Steve would have felt about the current shipping situation? I feel he'd raise all hell to ensure no one ruin his precious launch.

Ok, must post, mines in Louisville and I've bought every model so that entitles me.

SEATTLE—With the holiday shopping season officially under way, millions of consumers proceeded to their nearest commercial centers this week in hopes of acquiring the latest, and therefore most desirable, personal device.

"The new device is an improvement over the old device, making it more attractive for purchase by all Americans," said Thomas Wakefield, a spokesperson for the large conglomerate that manufactures the new device. "The old device is no longer sufficient. Consumers should no longer have any use or longing for the old device."

Added Wakefield, "The new device will retail for $395."

Able to remain operational for longer periods of time and occupy a demonstrably smaller three-dimensional space, the new device is so advanced when compared to the old device that it makes the old device appear much older than it actually is. However, the new device is reportedly not so radically different as to cause confusion or unwanted anxiety among those familiar with the feel of the old device.

"Its higher price indicates to me that it is superior, and that not everyone will be able to afford it, which only makes me want to possess it more," said Tim Sturges, owner of the old device, which he obtained 18 months ago when it was still the new device. "I feel a strong urge to purchase the new device. Owning the new device will please me and improve my daily life."

"It's difficult to remember how I ever found enjoyment in my old device," Sturges continued. "It is no longer appealing to the eye."

In addition to aesthetic and technological enhancements, manufacturers claim the new device comes equipped with a wide range of desirable features, including fewer buttons for pressing down and holding; a new wire for connecting to larger, less-portable devices; and fewer device-related errors and frustrations.

The new device will also be available in blue.

"Not only will I be able to perform tasks faster than before, but my new device will also inform those around me that I am a successful individual who is up on the latest trends," said Rebecca Hodge, whose executive job allowed her to line up for several hours in the middle of the day in order to obtain the previously unavailable item. "Its attractiveness and considerable value are, by extension, my attractiveness and considerable value."

Consumer Robert Larson agreed.

"I'm going to take my new device wherever I go," said Larson, holding the expensive item directly in the eyeline of several reporters. "That way no one on the street, inside the elevator, or at my place of business will ever mistake me for the sort of individual who does not own the new device."

Added Larson, "The new device brings me satisfaction."

Despite the visible excitement among most consumers, some claimed to be exercising caution, choosing instead to sit back and wait for a newer version of the new device to be released before making a purchase.

"True, it appeals to my most basic insecurities, but this new device will ultimately be replaced by a newer device, rendering it completely undesirable and utterly repellent to my personal tastes," device-enthusiast Ryan Janosch said. "Also, I should start saving my money for the next latest device, which will replace the newer new device a couple months after that."

so much for overnight shipping....

my phone is sitting at UPS, an hour from my house....

yet the phone that was in KY last night (and arrived in ontario this morning) is now sitting on my desk.

overnight means overnight.... not 2 or 3 or 4, 5, 6, days later....

For the most part the delivery estimates are holding up.

Sort of.

Clearly, there was some sort of cluster **** in China. My feeling is that the people with today and tomorrow dates were supposed to leave China on Friday. The 9/25 people were never going to leave China until Monday.

That delay bottle necked the system all the way through the chain with Two days worth of shipments flying out on Monday.

Time to play with mine. I wish I had a case for it now though cause it's huge lol. Maybe I should wait since people are reporting this gets bent in your pocket. Thinking of looking for a metal case now.

So much for tech dude, who said they were the same and there was no reason to call and ask to upgraded from Expedited to Saver.

Steve wouldn't give a rats ass. He'd take his 10M orders and laugh all the way to the bank.

That's why they call internationals Express and Expedited and not Next Day Air and Second Day Air. If you read the fine print, they give a several day range. I think Expedited is like as long as 5-7 days.

I don't think posts like this make me happy.

Do they really have a place here in this very thread?

hmmmm

Think about it....

Yeah, they're definitely not the same. When I process internationals all of the express go to the airport and all of the expedited go ground on the trailer. That's on the way out, but it should work backwards in reverse.

Sure they do.. we can be happy for our fellow Oct 1-6'ers. We've all been in this together and should share each others excitement when the phone arrives. :)

Don't believe the BS. Anything at all will receive front page attention right now, including people who went got drunk at a wedding and ended up with a bent iPhone.

"But I just had it in my pocket"

Yeah. Sure you did. I bend metal with my pockets all the time.
