Listen to yourself. This entire thread was for people who had estimated delivery dates (from Apple) of Oct 1-6. It's still ******** September, and all of our phones are almost here.

:apple:

I know this is sarcasm, but let's be clear. This isn't "3 weeks..." for UPS. Apple's job was to get us a phone within the promised period. They over-delivered. UPS has no idea when our phone were supposed to get to us according to Apple, they just know they have a package that is supposed to get to the recipient within 48 hours of departing the country of origin (depending to some extent of the shipping method specified).

Westeros? HAHA... nice.

You sure? There have already been dozens that have gotten import scans since this morning and several who said their phones just departed Louisville.

I'm wondering if the people who aren't getting their import scans are the ones who don't have an airport that's being serviced by the flight list this afternoon. Maybe we do have to wait for the morning flights out. For instance, there was a KSDF to KPIT flight this morning but there isn't one this afternoon.

Yup.

I have no confidence my 9/25 date will get moved a day up, given that delays have slipped a day for others.

Keep in mind, according to the survey monkey someone sent out, 60% of the people have a delivery date of 9/25, if you're willing to stand by an assumption that 51% of those people will get their phones a day early, I'll take that bet.

Here's the stakes, a friendly wager. If tomorrow, someone runs a survey monkey that says, "I got my phone a day early" I'll publicly say you're right. If it's in the negative, you post you were wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I love the input you've had. But TBH, at this point given the delay slippage I'm starting to even doubt by 9/25 will get there at this point.

No import scan but on the list my flight leaves in 8 mins:(

What are you talking about a large number of phones that have been imported will leave today. But its not the amount that you have claimed for 50 pages. You keep saying 90% of the shipments from last night will leave by 5PM and will be delivered tomorrow.

It was looking that way last night and early this morning, but something changed today thats causing that not to be the case. Whether its the large number of shipments or customs just being slow. Its pretty clear that the majority of shipments that were scheduled for Thursday will in fact be delivered Thursday and not Wednesday.

There are *40* UPS flights leaving Louisville in the next 3 hours. There's gonna be a lot more phones on those flights than have even been scanned yet. Plus, any geographical area that is not covered by those 40 flights will have a flight going out 12 hours after those flights in the early morning that can still make Wednesday delivery. It's not like those flights are going out empty.

I think Thursday will stay Thursday because for a lot of us who had delivery for today 9/23... It didn't happen... And when I got my import scan this morning my delivery date was push to tomorrow 9/24 instead ( think about the amount of phones for tomorrows delivery)

So zero 9/25 delivery import scans yet if I'm correct? Clearly they have been set aside before customs due to delivery date.

There hasn't been a single person who's been moved from Thursday to Wednesday yet. And if you go back several pages there was a poll posted that the majority of people in this thread have Thursday scheduled delivery.

But we're to believe that 90% of us will get delivered tomorrow and be leaving Louisville by 5PM.

I'm all for the extra information, but don't claim to know things you don't like predicting the future. This isn't a regular shipment, so its not going to act like a typical UPS delivery route.

There are a lot more packages that are not phones... they won't be empty but they necessarily won't be phones by the 5PM deadline.

Yep agree.... These flight are carrying the 7:10 and Shanghai delays mostly

i didn't see any planes scheduled to Pittsburgh....this is an interesting development

For Pittsburgh it goes to Columbus, OH then to New Stanton, PA (most likely by truck) and then to Pittsburgh.

I think we are plane buddies:

There's also zero evidence a 9/25 er has gotten an import scan.

Granted, we are a small sample size, and it's possible all of ours are at the back of the plane, but would have expected to see one by now if the 9/25 were going to make tomorrow.

Did anyone get a phone on monday? Or did everyone get moved to Tuesday today as earliest instances of delivery?

I remember a few people got moved from like thurs-monday over the weekend.

No deliveries on Monday right?

A lot of us 9/23 delivery date didn't even get our phones yet... We were push to 9/24 after import scan...

I already know the answer to this, but need to hear it from somebody else:
- My import scan went through in Louisville this morning
- I am expecting to be on the flight to Houston that lands @5:48 pm
- I have asked for will call, and the center where I would pick it up is a good 30 min from the airport
- That center closes at 7 pm

Assuming that everything happens in record time, and the phone make it to the center at 6:55pm ; would I be able to pick it up then, or it needs a lot of processing (opening the containers, etc...), that would make it unavailable until tomorrow

No Monday .... A lot of Tuesday's 9/23 ( a few lucky ones got theirs today) but majority of us who was suppose to recived our phones today got push to 9/24

My phones been in Louisville al day , still have a Thursday delivery . I don't see any reason that it wouldn't come tomorrow though

I've slipped at least one day for each stop it makes. You expect the package to maybe spend a few hours in each stop, but we stopped for a few days or so in Shanghai, then a day in Anchorage, now have been over 12hrs in Louisville. The pattern would mean that despite it being in anchorage since 1.45am last night, it will not leave there until tomorrow sometime, then come to NY and waste a day here before going out for delivery

flyingwasabi,

You claim to represent UPS. I don't doubt you work there. I don't doubt you know how things normally work.

But you speak as if you know exactly what's happening with our shipments. That is what is causing others to be angry.

You would save yourself a lot of grief if you just left it at "You need an import scan before you leave Louisville. There is still time to get that scan."

I'm not angry, just trying to save you some trouble from the haters! (Who I think are being ridiculous too)

You have to call the center and ask them!!

I just spoke with a supervisor at UPS. He was very informative. He told me what I believed all along. People that have a delivery date of 9/25 that was shipped Expedited are considered 2nd day air in the system. People that have Express Saver are considered next day air service. So yes all the people that had Import scans today have Express shipping and will be delivered tomorrow 9/24 and people that have Expedited shipping will get their import scan tomorrow for 9/25 Thursday delivery.

One interesting control point:

Sunday, I ordered a board game via Amazon. The original delivery date was 9/25.

Oddly, it's now in KY with a moved up date of tomorrow, but no departure from KY, yet.

If a miracle happens, and we get import scans before that plane is loaded, I will concede there is a small chance I will see my phone tomorrow.

That said, I think I'll see an import scan tomorrow.

It needs to be processed in the morning. UPS runs part-time shifts for loading and unloading trucks and trailers, so the shift that would unload and process it won't be there until the middle of the night. Usually everything is processed by about 9 in the morning, but check your tracking and call first tomorrow.

Woah woah woah....

I never, ever once said I work for UPS. I don't. I just happen to analyze data for a living, and this is fun data to analyze. I think you're getting me mixed up with someone else.

The problem is that for the last few days, we all seem to be missing deadlines. My phone has been in Louisville since 1.45am, and will still probably miss the 5pm deadline (like it did in Shanghai for 3 days)

Sorry, should have addressed that better... I was saying your reply is how I feel. The rest was addressed to Flyingwassabi ;)
