One hour 20 mins until my phone takes off from Louisville for the 2 hr flight to Orlando. I wonder if it will make it to the Customer Center before 8 p.m. Maybe they would let me pick it up this evening?

There's a flight from Louisville to NYC in 49mins... I hope I get on that... And it will be in NYC by 5:30pm XD

Thursday was always my day, all this time was just spent hoping it'd come earlier. It won't, and at least it's almost Thursday now anyway.

As I said, there are morning flights out too that can still make Wednesday service. I imagine some of those left behind will fly out then. The only question is what percentage of people after that actually don't get their phones until Thursday? Under 10%? I can't imagine it being more than that.

I've yet to ever see one of my deliveries get delivered when they didn't arrive in my city by like 8am. If the plane lands at 1pm or 2pm etc, I have yet to ever see a delivery

Just going off of pure percentages of posters in this thread with Thursday delivery scheduled already, I'd say its going to be a lot larger than that. A few pages back, a guy posted a poll and the results were overwhelming for 9/25 deliveries.

I did say that some people would be left behind, but I was hoping I wouldn't be one of them. lol

I start work at 5:30 so I'll be there a few minutes early to check our internal tracking to see whats up with my phone.

yeah, I'm not dumping on you, either.

Something clearly clogged up the works in China, and like plumbing you notice the backups when the pipes get smaller.

I sense some backpedaling since post 7519...

Quit confusing me with the other guy. I said the majority would leave by 5 pm and people are already seeing their phones start to take off from Louisville, and people are still getting late import scans. The only people still here chatting are the 5 of us that haven't gotten an update yet. The percentage I said would likely be left behind.

These aren't going to get us delivered tomorrow will they? Its going to arrive in Anchorage way too late, no? I'm praying tomorrow!

There might be delays as well depending on the volume coming in.. Remember those of us talking about our shipment time and import scan are the big 3 who was delay for 2 days before flying out .

Don't even respond to these guys. It's not worth your time or those of us who understand that this isn't a foolproof process and no one is to "blame" for us getting not getting our phones early.

can we go by this schedule of all flights out of louisville?

That's the majority of them, but some might not be up until an hour before takeoff. The UPS itinerary is very fluid, even though they make essentially the same trips at roughly the same time every day.

Its a lot more than 5....

How do I find out what city/hub would service my local UPS hub. I live in a pretty small town far away from any major airport that would fly direct from Louisville.

Apple really dropped the ball on this one. Starting from the pre ordering debacle to this shipping snafu. They botched this whole release. A mutli billion dollar company and all this BS that we as consumers had to deal with. I'm not whining but it really is frustrating beyond belief.

Ups.com and search for location using ur zip code

#Team520 update (eh):

http://flightaware.com/live/findflight/PANC/ksdf/

Flights from Anchorage to Louisville (UPS 81, 61, and 109) have all been delayed. Could this possibly be to accommodate for all of the flights that are arriving later tonight into Anchorage from Incheon? I don't think they could make it for delivery tomorrow, as landing in Anchorage would already be close to Midnight EST.. Which isn't favorable.

#Team520, I'm guessing expect arrival to KY tonight, but we're going to get stuck there until tomorrow. Delivery Thursday. Unless somehow UPS pulls through which hasn't happened yet in over 300 pages of discussion..

I just want to point out the following. Apple estimated a delivery date for us. Call that the "Promise." Then, guess what? - We all got shipping notification earlier. That's our NEW Promise.

Actually, you're confusing things.

First you had an estimated "Delivery Date".

Then you had a shipment notification. The shipment notification is not a "NEW Promise", it's a notice that your phone shipped.

Mine shipped, but it said "Standard Shipping".

UPS lists it as "UPS Worldwide Expedited". When I look that up it says, "Delivery within four or five business days from Europe, Asia, and Latin America".

Now, I this may seem complicated, but if I take the Shipped notification and factor in "Standard Shipping" and look at UPS's delivery information, I can expect that my estimated delivery date from UPS of Thursday is probably pretty darn accurate.

Would I like it sooner? Sure, but I'm not upset if it's not here sooner. Seems pretty clear to me.

Right, because manufacturing 10 million smartphones, and then shipping them to each individual buyers' doorsteps, is an easy thing that anyone can do.

And in our case, it's all gonna happen 1-2 weeks prior to the promised delivery date at the time of the order. So screw Apple, for being not-as-early-as-we-demand.

I'm not whining

Yup, you kinda are.
