Trying hard to not get too anxious about this, but 20 hours in Kentucky just seems mind boggling insane.

Its all about your stated delivery date at this point. They couldn't deliver them all at once, so they separated them by delivery date in Louisville.

Before I sign off, I have another phone that has a 9/25 delivery date. It has been sitting in KY for almost 24 hours waiting on an import scan.


Whoever said they were prioritizing 9/24 delivery dates over 9/25 for customs inspection was probably right. It's logical to assume the customs / census folks aren't going to work extra shifts just to process iPhones. I would not be surprised they reached their limit and decided to start again tomorrow.

So UPS says it will be delivered tomorrow, Apple said it would be delivered on Friday. Should I get my hopes up for tomorrow or not? My phone is half way to KY now.

At this point, I would have paid extra to have an iPhone 6 made in Kentucky. It would have been here by now and we could have given some folks a good job.

Unfortunately, producing these sorts of electronic products we Americans love so much creates bad pollution. Imagine smog so thick that people have to wear masks, like the do in Beijing. I'm perfectly happy keeping that in China.

I tried to hold my package at the UPS facility, but every time I clicked the "change delivery" button, it redirects me to login on My Choice. Anyone experiencing this? I tried it on multiple computers...

They would if they could. They don't need bad press or complaints from Apple. It costs them money to have packages sit on their property not moving. They get paid to move stuff and sitting packages only means less new stuff can arrive.

Assuming your phone is not being held up by a government employee (to clear customs), I bet they are out of plane space and you are queued up. There's no other logical explanation.

My UPS tracking has said 9/25 since I got tracking - its been spot on even with my Shanghai and Louisville vacations
