I'm not worried. I always use a case and all cell phones are susceptible to this. I think they're exaggerating . I don't plan on sitting down and intentionally bending my phone with great force

Think we'll be ok! Not going to worry about it yet

Looking to get that case looks sturdy as well

I have some insight. UPS was horribly behind due to horrible mismanagement of these shipments. In Louisville, they prioritized 9/22, 9/23 & 9/24 shipments as they already screwed those people over, in an effort to catch up. They then promptly ignored all 9/25 shipments, something they would otherwise never do, probably so that they could catch up on other Air shipments.

There is no other explanation. On any other normal day with any other normal package, a shipment with 9/25 expected delivery that makes it to Louisville at 1 AM on 9/23 will be processed and shipped out within 24 hours to its final destination, with delivery on 9/24 somewhere between highly likely and guaranteed.

Instead, they are sitting on 9/25 packages. Delivery is indeed very likely for 9/25, so I have little to complain about....yet.

But I do enough shipping and receiving to know that my order should be here tomorrow, and won't be, due to poor handling by UPS.

...And I don't need to be a UPS truck driver to come to these conclusions.
I had priority shipping (somehow in batch that got the better shipping) and am one day behind. It seemed to me that it was based on order of arrival. But even if that's true, they would have made it if for the customs backlog.

If anything, I fault them for setting overly optimistic targets. They might have anticipated the bottlenecks in their timing.

Expedited

i don't even have an import scan :(

Me either, stuck there since 01:34, but on the bright side it was originally scheduled for next week. I don't know how I keep missing the upgrade shipping option, must be the heat of the moment, I missed 2 of the AppleCare+ add on's as well.

I am chick :p

I called Apple and they told me, I am sorry for all the inconvenience but we haven't done anything wrong on our part and be happy you are getting it the 25th instead of mid Oct, because they are a lot of customer that are not as lucky as you!. Because their site crashing is not their fault, not having enough phones to at least cover the first 5hrs of pre orders is not their fault. This keeps happening year after year and they still haven't been able to get their act together to the point their site works and they have enough inventory to cover the first 3-5hrs of pre-orders!.

If you're upset then stop giving them your money. It's easy - when people start speaking with their pocketbooks they'll change what they do. Until then, they'll tell you to enjoy your gruel, yell at you, continue to have poor customer service, and gloat about how many units they sold in the first week, etc. I had problems with my order, too, and they were extremely rude when I talked to them on the phone.

Then I called AT&T (about my Apple.com order!) and they did everything they could, gave me $50 for free, and were super nice. I never thought I'd see the day AT&Ts customer service would be better than Apple's.

What time do you need to be at work? If by 7am, you don't have an arrival scan near you, maybe go in.

There are some UPS flights that leave in the wee hours of the morning.

I work in NYC, usually get to work before 8AM. I wake up at 5:50AM EST. That's my plan. If I wake up tomorrow and don't see any kind of Arrival Scan or "Out for delivery" I'm going to work.

With my luck, when I get to work, I'll see an update that it's out for delivery, and no one will be home to sign for it. And I'll get screwed even more :(

Mine is still stuck in KY. I swear I read there was a flight to Chicago. I'm in Chicago- why send my phone to Kentucky?! Thursday is still better than Oct 1-6, but I really feel like they could have tried harder to get it here sooner.

So does anyone wanna discuss all these reports coming out regarding #bendgate. I'm a little concerned about these people's claims about the 6+ bending so easily. Mind you most of these are reports from people who like to use their phone w/o a case so that portion isnt applicable to me but I'm wondering what the rest of the community thinks.

Still stuck at this: Louisville, KY, United States 09/23/2014 11:47 A.M. Import Scan

And still trying to figure out why i wasn't on that flight? Where did i go wrong?

I'm checking back on off of this in a half hour. I swear, I'm about to create a petition to make apple switch to Fedex. They already use them for some of their services. And Fedex is always on time even if they don't update very often. Just from my experience.

I think if you buy AppleCare within 30 days, it'll apply it to the phones automatically.

Well, mine is looking promising. It got to JFK today at 5.31pm, and just left JFK at 10pm tonight. There is not a lot between here and JFK, so I am assuming it goes to a depot in Brooklyn and hopefully out for delivery in the AM

Pretty sure we should give up as this point. Our only chance is getting on one of the planes to NJ that take off in the wee hours of the morning. I think it's possible since it's only a ~2 hour flight from Louisville to Newark. So even if it leaves Louisville at, let's say, 3AM and get to Jersey at 5AM, I think that's enough time for it to be delivered tomorrow.

EDIT: Forgot to factor in the time it takes to get to your local UPS hub. Not sure if this is possible anymore.

Same here! I had a white 4s, black 5 and now getting a gold 6:D:D

Gold is UGLY. I've had a white and black i5 and I think white is more elegant looking but it doesn't look good with a lot of cases and the black looks sharper and is better with case colors. And I love space grey.. Much better option. So that's what I went with.

I agree. My MacBook Pro was delivered by Fedex and that was some speedy delivering. However, I did pay an arm and leg for 2 day shipping and it wasn't a "new, hot" item either. Sooooo, yeah.

Well then, good thing you're receiving the color you want and not the color I want...

I will still put that pre-signed paper for UPS up! Day 3 of it! looking a bit worn...

I agree with you totally. FedEx is a better choice.
