I would do that too, but I don't feel comfortable that my phone is just sitting outside by itself. I live in a good neighborhood, but still, you never know.
From what I'm seeing, my flight it on it's way to Louisville right now on UPS81, aka the black hole? But still showing tomorrow delivery time..although It wont be in my hands until tomorrow night (hold for pickup.) IF everything goes as planned..I'll see I suppose.
So wait, the ones that were shipped on Thursday the 18th, you haven't received these yet...while I and a few others were b*tching in our "processing" stage" for 4 more days until it shipped on Monday morning? WTF? Seriously, I'm sorry. Hope you all get it tomorrow and NOT Thursday.

Ready to be delivered to me in Findlay, Ohio tomorrow.
UPS man came today with my iPhone cases around 11:50, conveniently when I had just come home from school for my ten minute lunch break.
Hope he comes then tomorrow, too. Either way, I'm 100% for sure getting it tomorrow. Delivery on September 23 when I was originally told October 1-6?

, although mines on its way up I-35 North from Dallas,TX. Should be out for delivery around 6:00am like the usual packages that come from Dallas around a similar time. Going to sleep now, got to rest up before I do the heavy lifting of the iPhone 6+ tomorrow

I called Apple and they told me, I am sorry for all the inconvenience but we haven't done anything wrong on our part and be happy you are getting it the 25th instead of mid Oct, because they are a lot of customer that are not as lucky as you!. Because their site crashing is not their fault, not having enough phones to at least cover the first 5hrs of pre orders is not their fault. This keeps happening year after year and they still haven't been able to get their act together to the point their site works and they have enough inventory to cover the first 3-5hrs of pre-orders!.
Wow, you should get an email from Apple, a survey about your experience with the call center - take it. Rate the service of the call. Ok..fine UPS is not really Apples screw up..sort of, Apple is dealing with UPS as a shipper, in the end the the responsible party is in fact Apple, but the way this person spoke to you is a bunch of cr@p! Just copy/paste everything you just typed (hopefully you got the name of this rep), give your rating a bunch of 1's and 2's aka "unacceptable quality" - depending on the question .
As for the site being a complete mess, yeah it actually is Apples fault. They better take some of out iPhone $$$ and invest in a slew of additional new servers that can handle this volume of traffic. They knew or should have known there would have been an insane amount of people trying to buy these phones all at once. They better get that sorted out before the Apple Watch comes out or many will see the same problems.
Weird I did the ups choice and changed delivery to pick up at UPS location. Now I'm getting
