I'm really happy for you but it's complete ******** that your phone arrived in Louisiana 23 hours AFTER some of ours and left within 2hours when ours have been sitting for more than 30 hours without a single thought about being shipped.

Thanks Apple. It's nice to know that some of us are less important than others. I'm sure some of us will remember that...

You never got your import scan? Have you called to check that? I wouldn't expect them to purposely sit on it. That's more work than 'let it go'. Something might be wrong???

No, nothing is wrong. The deliveries that are scheduled for earlier get priority. They will process ours (9/25 deliveries) today and they will arrive on time, as scheduled. Calling UPS accomplishes absolutely nothing at this point in the process except to waste your own breath and the customer service reps time (who has nothing to do with your shipment). There will be an Import scan between now and 1am and the phone will head off to your local facility in-time for delivery tomorrow.

Chill pill people.

What's wrong is UPS is a joke. They are purposely sitting on our packages that have 9/25 delivery dates.

No movement for over 24 hours!!!

didn't mean that way...just finally it was out for delivery and that I had express saver shipping

No... Sorry. I realize that's what you meant. I was just commenting on the fact that Service is the priority shipping and Expedite in the second class service. So, obviously, congrats but you are fortunate to have been chosen for faster shipping.

Is everyone really that naive to how businesses run or are we all up in arms because we want it now now now? If it is the latter, than I will let these comments slide as people being uppity and excited. If it is the former, keep reading.

Why in the world would UPS use up precious space and resources to move packages earlier than promised when they have other delivery obligations to meet. Limited space, flights, millions of other packages, etc all all happening at the same time as the shipments of iPhones.

As I have said before the only way to guarantee you get a phone on launch day is to be first in line. Wait in line next year.

No, this happened to everyone(?) with a 9/25 delivery date who arrived at Louisville early yesterday morning; none of our packages got import scans ostensibly to ensure that those with earlier delivery dates were being taken care of first.

No heartburn over it on my end; I'm just looking forward to seeing my package get moving again today. :)

and I do feel your pain...my phones sat in China for 40 some hours not doing squat. rumors of some security scan myself and about 100K other friends where selected for.

O me of little faith. My i6+ actually went from Zhenzhou yesterday at this time to Out for Delivery as of 30 minutes ago. From China to NJ in just under 24 hours. Pretty amazing, IMHO.

On the same note why would they sit on product when they know that it's just going to create a backlog because millions more phones are just going to back up behind it...
Also why did Apple ly to us and tell us that everyone had te same shipping priority when obviously we don't...?

Imagine, though, how you would feel if your delivery date had been 9/24 and it was missed while you saw that people with 9/25 delivery dates were getting delivered today. The arbitrary nature of the shipping can be confounding at times, but there's a limit to how much stuff can be moved in a day so we have to be content with the dates we were given.

Yep. Team 134 and the chat isn't working either. Frustrating that our phones have been sitting in Louisville for over 30 hours now. I might even go so far as to say this is more frustrating than sitting in ZhengZhou for a weekend!

We had the same 48 hour delay in China too and now another (what will be) 40 some odd hours in Louisiana... So, I'm really sorry if it sounded like I was taking it out on you. That was not my intention. I'm genuinely happy that you are getting your phone.

and my experience, (i did time in a fedex facility) if it is lost they will actually search the facility for it...

I have another package coming from ups today and it seems like that truck is still waiting for my iPhone or whatever else was air shipped to arrive before taking off.

no worries here. i have been a wreck. I am acting like a 5 yr old at christmas waiting for presents, but I already know what I am getting

Woke up this morning (the usual time I wake up for work) to check if there were any changes to my tracking number, and if not I was going to head into work instead of working from home. But when I woke up around 5:40AM EST, I saw that my phone had arrived in Newark, NJ. So I went back to sleep since I decided to work from home :D

Woke up again at 7:30AM EST and saw that my phone is Out for Delivery! Hopefully those of you who are in NJ too, and everywhere else, that have scheduled deliveries for today, get your phones too!

It's been and honor and pleasure reading up and sharing with everyone on this thread. And I hope for those of you still waiting on Import Scans or Departure Scans get your phones soon!

Your question "Why is my package idle?" is kind of silly; you know why it's idle. You're just harassing and venting at the poor chat support people at this point.
