I think that is exactly what is happening here. Import scanning based on all those flights out of SDF going to regional hubs. So I would think a 1:00pm flight out would get scanned before say a 5:00pm flight out to a regional hub..

In my case, I think APPLE and UPS both did their part as promised, if not better than promised.
I think this is mostly the rule, not the exception, but ymmv. I agree some customers may have got a bad deal as far as low priority shipping, but such is life.

Heres hoping they stick with my original delivery date of 25th and that its held for pickup. Atleast, let me have my iphone 6 plus by Friday. Thats my day off.

Don't even joke like that bc I'm on the verge of s meltdown. If something goes wrong I will have to be committed #

My phone won't be leaving until around 4AM tomorrow morning for Columbia SC. Ugh roughly 24 hours to go!

these shipping inconsistencies and people who order later in the game getting their items before people who ordered earlier are why i called for overnight shipping.

it happened to me during the ipad mini LTE version launch. i learned the hard way back then... so i was on the phone almost immediately when i realized we weren't getting launch day delivery.

once you miss launch day, apple doesn't really care much about when you get it anymore... best defense is overnight shipping!

(and even better would be for apple to do a true first come first serve and say screw it to having the long lines... but we know they won't...)

Welp there's a flight going to JFK from Lousiville in 3 hours and still no import scan. I really hope my phone gets on that flight!
 
Will the UPS tracking page let me know when it's been delivered? Mine is being sent to a delivery room so I don't have the immediate notification of a doorbell

EDIT: 400 pages!

That sucks. Good news is with a credit card you can keep the phone until Apple ships another. Or if you do not want to go that route you can send it back and be out of a phone 3-4 days. Lastly, you could go to the Apple store for an exchange, rumor is they keep a supply on hand for this kind of thing.

Yeah there are sending a replacement out asap and waived the express fee.

Agreed. If your delivery isn't set for launch day Apple doesn't give a crap when you get it. Lesson learned.
