I bet it had something to do with AT&T because I had nearly the exact same experience.

Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Oh well,i got what I wanted, just a little later than I was hoping.
Mine is also due October 1st - 6th.
I got my confirmation at 3:58 AM Eastern, i.e. 58 minutes after supposed launch.

I wanted to order 2 6 Plus 128GB (Space Gray and Gold) and used the Apple Store iPad app. (Since the Apple Store Online was down.) But the app said I could only order one. The Gold was showing a delivery date of 9/19, so I jumped on that first. After that went through, I tried ordering the Space Gray, but it kept failing during the carrier part (AT&T.) When I finally was able to finish the order at around 2 AM PT, that shipping showed 7-10 business days, delivers Oct 1-6.

I have the same shipping schedule. I initially tried ordering on iPad and T-mobile option was no where to be found Eventually the website loaded and I was able to order.
I hope the T-mobile version is unlocked because I want to use an AT&T SIM on it. Anyone here doing the same ?

I saw that as well - several times. I just tried a few minutes ago and was able to see the order confirmation. Course, still looking at a delivery date between Oct. 1 and Oct. 6.
Based on last year's experience, 2 day after my credit card is charged status changed from processing to preparing for shipment.
I placed an order, but haven't gotten my email for the reservation link. Did it already say 9/19 for you when you got the reservation notice?
When I clicked the link in the email it said 9/19, then at checkout it said 9/19 and also in my confirmation email it shows 9/19.

That was my original pre-order, it did have the option to change it but then the shipping shown were 3-4 weeks.
Okay thanks. I just got the email. Do you know of any "harm" that can come from me clicking that link? I don't want it to cancel my already-confirmed order, but I want to see if it's possible that I'll get 9/19.
I got one for store pickup on the 19th, about 2 hours away in the Bay Area. 128GB, TMobile, Silver. Black was also available as I was checking out.

I got my Space Gray 128GB iP6 Plus in at 12:35am from the App Store and I have a Oct. 1 - 6 delivery estimate. I find it hard to believe their supply is so constrained that they run out in 30 minutes before their website is even active.
It says it ships in 7-10 days, unless its coming directly from China I can't see shipping taking that long. Either way I know I'll get one, would've been nice on the 19th but meh, I'll live
this is exactly what i've been telling the NOOBS today. There's a difference between estimated ship date and delivery date. ship date is when it gets shipped out from china, then delivery date is when you receive it.
^^^ Same thing happened to me. When I ordered it said delivers on 9/19 and then when I got the e-mail confirmation it said 10/1-10/6. Incredibly frustrating!
I've always had the phone on release day so this is a BIG fail for Apple. Like what happened?!?! For reference, I ordered iPhone 6 plus 64 GB in Space Grey for AT&T.Try upgrading a different number on your account it wont let you use the same number to check for delivery dates. Btw I just did I have OCt 1-6th and ordered before I received my reservation email, just check and the reservation delivery date is 3-4 weeks for 128 gb space grey plus -_-
Eh, that's alright. I don't think it's going to improve the delivery estimate either. I'll just stick with my early October window.
Same here. In addition, when I placed my order and went back to the store just to look around, I saw that the delivery date had again reverted to deliver on the 19th. But I wasn't going to place a duplicate order and have the headache of cancelling one or having some issue where ATT or Apple cancelled my order.
