Well, it's probably on the ups truck for when it leaves tomorrow. lol

Ha. A bit of a notification would be helpful in a time like this. They usually say something.

----------

I called Apple when I got the shipped notification and they submitted a one-time delivery address change request on my behalf. So glad it worked, as I'm visiting my girlfriend in Utah.

Dang really? I didn't know they did this. I even found a thread here that said it couldn't be done. If I would've known that I would have sent it elsewhere. Sigh.

Am I the last 7:10/1:34/9-25 member remaining? Where is my North MS team member? My phone is still 'import scan' in Kentucky! Waiting for that 5am flight to Jackson Ms!

Just chatted with UPS and this is her response...

"Jenny C.: I reviewed the information and I understand that you are worried for your package, however, the package is committed to be delivered today by the end of day. We don't have a cutoff time for delivery, usually drivers delivery by 7 p.m. however it is depending on the drivers route and how many packages they have to deliver. Our deadline to complete the delivery is 11:59 PM."

I understand that it sucks for the UPS delivery person to be working so late... but it still sucks for me as well.
Well it looks like I'll be staying awake until 11:59pm...
Excuse me while I seek comfort from my puppy. :(

Hang in there and keep smiling! You're almost there! :D

My phone is still in Kentucky as well. It had an Import scan at 12:48 PM, but nothing since then. Guaranteed delivery by the of the day tomorrow. Here's to hoping for an "out of delivery" update by the time I wake up!

That's crazy. I buy a lot of things online and UPS has always been good. They tend to deliver around my area (downtown Toronto) between 2 and 4pm. All my Apple purchases have always arrived after 7.30pm though. The latest one was at 9.15pm on a Friday night.

Are you in Burtonsville? I'm right down 29 in Colesville. No airport in Burtonsville. Closest one is BWI. They have a customer center right on Sweitzer lane in Laurel

Sorry, feeble attempt at a joke

Given the ridiculous itinerary for my iPhone so far, I figured UPS would stick it on a commuter flight and land at some airport between Philadelphia and Dulles before finally getting to the Washington, DC area.

It is probably coming by truck now.

My iPhone frequent flyer stops so far:

Philadelphia, Pa
8:58 P.M. Arrival Scan
Windsor Locks, CT, United States 09/24/2014 7:53 P.M. Departure Scan

Yeah that's pretty crazy. It's now 10:35p my time. I usually get up for work around 4:30-5:00 so yeah... This is FUN.:)

I wonder if our packages are together. I got: Louisville, KY, United States 09/24/2014 3:34 P.M. Departure Scan. I'm in the Hampton/Newport News area but my package should come through Richmond. At this point I'm thinking it on a truck from Louisville and not a plane.

Pretty sure ours are just waiting for flight 1232 into Richmond around 4am.

Still showing yesterday's flight, but will reset when tonight's flight is scheduled.

I work for Ups and can tell you that it is too late for a delivery. There is a 14hr DOT cutoff for every driver in the company. They don't play games with the DOT regulations. There are 2 reasons why your package wasn't delivered today. First is that the package was misloaded onto another truck that was too far away to deliver today. They usually sheet the package as missed if this happens. The second reason you are not going to like at all. The people who load trucks in the mornings do know what the iPhone boxes look like. It is coming up on season and there are a bunch of new hires that have nothing to lose. I'm just giving you some insight on why your package isn't there. Hopefully it was the first reason and not the second.

Can you pass out on a couch that's close to the door? Seriously, that sucks more than my order getting delayed by over a week. Hang in there. At least you don't have to write a paper on Marshall McLuhan.

Seriously, read this (http://www.nextnature.net/2009/12/the-playboy-interview-marshall-mcluhan/) and you'll be passed out in five minutes from confusion.

If true, why in the world did the UPS chat person "Jenny" tell me that? That's extremely disappointing and upsetting. Just so she can get back at someone since she has probably been dealing with iPhone people all day? Someone said earlier that they got a delivery from UPS at 9:15, which I guess would put it under the 14hr DOT cutoff if they started at 7:15a.

Wouldn't they update my tracking info if the phone went on another truck?

Also, I thought about theft as well, but was hoping it wasn't going to be true and it looks like I'll be making several serious phone calls in the morning.

I was standing outside earlier today probably around 3-4pm and an UPS truck literally stopped in the middle of the road in front of my house and delivered a package (not an iPhone) to the house diagonally across from mine. Then he got back in his truck, went to the back for several minutes, then got back into the driver's seat and delivered down the street. Then he took the curve and disappeared. That was depressing. Ha...

There are still a few of us who still have phones sitting in Louisville. Looking forward to see how UPS pulls this one off. But I'm getting so used to disappointment.

oh man that sucks...

always take the will call option

Yeah... This has been the worst UPS experience ever. And typically they are pretty good. (Except for the times - several times - when they said they attempted a delivery, but no one ever knocked on the door or even left a note.)

The Will Call option, even though not optimal (driving through crazy metropolitan traffic during rush hour across the city) would have still been better than this.

He was in the back looking for your package. It was in his computer board because it was supposed to be on the truck. It is possible that he didn't find it until the end of day and was too far to go back. Management is strict on time management. I am just trying to help you out because I don't want you to stay up all night for nothing. If the package was loaded onto a different truck then you will see it update in the morning when they scan the package again. I would definitely call for a Will Call and go pick it up. The theft thing is a worst case scenario but it is always a possibility.

last 2 days i was supposed to get this phone

tracking still says its coming today and its 12am here lol

i guess i have to take off of work again 2mor!
