You had an Oct 1st ship date? What does it look like now.Mines been dispatched
Spoke to Erin at Apple tonight and got an address label change request put in, since AT&T says I'm in Maryland but I'm visiting my fiancé in Utah until the end of next week. Just waiting for an email confirmation. She says it shows as packaged, labeled and ready to go.
I just pressed track and it says the estimate is the 22nd

I ordered off Apple and they let me track off their site. But yeah I have a tracking number I haven't tried, it says it's carrier is UPS.
Have a delivery date of 10/1-10/6. This morning my card got charged and the status changed to preparing for shipment at about 10 AM CST. Nothing else has changed since. I don't see it showing up on fedex or ups yet. Gold iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB and Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB, both AT&T. I wonder when it will show up!
Yeah, it's terrible IMO. Way too plain. Probably saves them a few cents per box or something odd.
Just got off the phone with a really nice girl at Apple. She said my preparing to ship phones (128gb space gray 6+) should ship tomorrow or Monday despite the 9/29-10/2 estimate. She also sent me a free iPad Air Smart Cover with next day shipping. Pretty cool.

I can't give you proof unless I turn on my compy. My iPad Air is running on iOS 8 which isn't currently allowing me to post pictures.
the sad thing is; they have not changed the estimated dates which sucks. even though they changed the process to preparing to shipment, they could have changed the dates too. sad.
For someone who paid attention to those lucky enough to get launch day iphones, what was the sequence?
Obviously card charged and preparing for shipment are first, but whats next? Did most get a support profile serial or a shipped status first? And what about tracking numbers?

My launch day 64gb silver 6+ was on preparing for shipment for a couple of days, but I was able to track it by reference on the UPS site. It had already been from Tennessee to Kentucky before Apple showed it as shipped.

I always end up having like hour long chats with the nicer girls, so I don't feel so bad. If I had that job I would be happy that an hour of my shift just passed quickly talking to somebody about TV shows and video games and making jokes and flirting.

The Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB changed to preparing for shipment around 12:30 pm ET and the Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB just changed to preparing for shipment a short time ago around 11:30 pm ET both AT&T.
Credit card was charged right about the time the phones order status changed on each. No ups/fedex tracking searchable yet, nor do they appear in support profile yet.

I wish I knew if my phone was coming FedEx of UPS at least so I could focus my obsessive reference tracking to one or the other!
I stopped checking ups/fedex and only check support profile. I figure they have to add your serial number before packing it up. Once i see it on the support profile i'm sure the tracking number will follow.

status went from "preparing" to "shipped in Sept 19th"
