October 12-19 Delivery thread

The best chance for anyone with this shipping date range to move up will occur in the next day. I can imagine 100’s or 1000’s of people who would cancel their order if they find in store or at another store like BB or BH.

One can hope that happens but remember there are two groups ahead of us. The 9/28 and the 10/5, they'll be the first to see movement (and nothing is being reported here showing movement yet).
 
I am hoping to be one of those to snag one in person but if not I can wait the couple weeks knowing Apple has been pretty consistent in overdelivering on their timeframes.

I have a Nike coming 10/5 which isnt going to change and a SS Gold on this thread's current time frame.
 
Apple just charged my credit card for one of my SS watches!!!! This has to be a good sign. Website still shows 10/12-10/19 though.
 
I just checked my order status and have been updated to "preparing to ship". My very first apple watch. Ordered on the 14th around 8am, 44mm space gray aluminum. I'm expecting the watch sometime next week rather than the Oct 12-19 window, I at least hope!
 
My order just changed to "preparing to ship" too! I guess we'll be receiving our watches way sooner than expected

Does the UPS reference trick work for any of you who are now "preparing to ship"?

Did your credit card get charged when it changed to "preparing to ship"?

Go to UPS tracking, track by reference.
Take your order number (say W123456789) and remove the last two digits (W1234567) and check to see if there's a package tied to that. May want to enter your zip to narrow down options.
Some can also use their phone number as a reference.

It didn't work for me, nothing shows up on UPS yet
 
I ordered gold 40mm aluminum on 9/14. Website still shows 10/12-10/19. However, status today has changed to preparing to ship and credit card was charged. Nothing on UPS (well, except for my iPhone XS Max arriving tomorrow).

Thanks. Mine didn’t work either. May be shipping FedEx?

Why would they be the first to see movement? People who cancel orders may be in any of the three groups (if you count launch day). Also Apple may realize higher yields as time goes on, which would benefit later orders.
 
Wow that's amazing!! That gives me such hope for my order. No charge yet, but I'm an 8pm 14th order. So I may see movement several hours or a day after you guys!!

Just got an email from apple that my watch is on its way (preparing for shipment ) and will be here Thursday Sept 27th. It is a 44mm Silver Aluminum.

Products shipping will be most like they're same models. Do you have UPS My Choice or FedEx Delivery Manager? If those aren't showing anything I wonder if they charged you a little prematurely and it ships with another batch today. (Hoping to be apart of that batch lol, but from what I've been seeing, they're only up to 10 minutes past preorders going live for SS Gold Milanese.) SS Golds also seem to be the most out of stock. The one time I'm finally getting a stainless steel and there's a freaking gold aluminum able to be picked up now from best buy. Absolute torture!
 
Well I was incorrect on delivery date. Looks like the delivery date is today. I have an apple band on order and that is coming next week. This is unexpected and I will believe it when it’s at my door.
