The best chance for anyone with this shipping date range to move up will occur in the next day. I can imagine 100’s or 1000’s of people who would cancel their order if they find in store or at another store like BB or BH.

One can hope that happens but remember there are two groups ahead of us. The 9/28 and the 10/5, they'll be the first to see movement (and nothing is being reported here showing movement yet).
I am hoping to be one of those to snag one in person but if not I can wait the couple weeks knowing Apple has been pretty consistent in overdelivering on their timeframes.

Apple just charged my credit card for one of my SS watches!!!! This has to be a good sign. Website still shows 10/12-10/19 though.
I just checked my order status and have been updated to "preparing to ship". My very first apple watch. Ordered on the 14th around 8am, 44mm space gray aluminum. I'm expecting the watch sometime next week rather than the Oct 12-19 window, I at least hope!
Go to UPS tracking, track by reference.
Take your order number (say W123456789) and remove the last two digits (W1234567) and check to see if there's a package tied to that. May want to enter your zip to narrow down options.
Some can also use their phone number as a reference.
Why would they be the first to see movement? People who cancel orders may be in any of the three groups (if you count launch day). Also Apple may realize higher yields as time goes on, which would benefit later orders.
Wow that's amazing!! That gives me such hope for my order. No charge yet, but I'm an 8pm 14th order. So I may see movement several hours or a day after you guys!!
Mine just shipped from China. Scheduled to arrive next week on the 27th. Keep your hopes up. 
Just got an email from apple that my watch is on its way (preparing for shipment ) and will be here Thursday Sept 27th. It is a 44mm Silver Aluminum.
Are all of you guys 12-19? What time were your orders? Any gold Milanese shipping with 12 dates?
I am in the US. I haven’t checked my CC. Usually gets charged right before shipping.
Products shipping will be most like they're same models. Do you have UPS My Choice or FedEx Delivery Manager? If those aren't showing anything I wonder if they charged you a little prematurely and it ships with another batch today. (Hoping to be apart of that batch lol, but from what I've been seeing, they're only up to 10 minutes past preorders going live for SS Gold Milanese.) SS Golds also seem to be the most out of stock. The one time I'm finally getting a stainless steel and there's a freaking gold aluminum able to be picked up now from best buy. Absolute torture!
