October 14th Launch for iPhone 4S/5 in US, UK, France, Germany, Japan? [Updated]

I realize that this is a rumors forum. But at what point does total speculation, make-up-any-s*** nonsense become rumor. Seems to me that all of these "rumors" fall under the "make-up-any-s***" category.

Usually first thing in the morning. And they'll be going to media outlets, such as the New York Times and various tech blogs (Engadget, Verge, etc.). Macrumors never gets invited 🙁
I don't think invites are going out today. Tomorrow would technically not be too late.
If we don't see any media invites by tomorrow, then we probably shouldn't expect any sort of announcement or event next week.
The day is still young, if we don't hear anything by 2:30 Eastern, then I will have my doubts about the 4th. Although, I feel like AllThingsD gets its info straight from the source...
This year invitees will not know they are invited until they are kidnapped by a couple of guys in a van. This way Apple can keep everything under wraps until the very last minute.
There is still time to send them out. They don't HAVE to give everyone a week's notice. People will rush out whether they send them today or Sunday night.

I think the invites will go out tomorrow to rain on Amazon's parade of their new tablet announcement. If we don't hear anything by tomorrow, there could be a problem meeting the Oct 4th rumored event😱. They need to give attendees enough time IMHO.

Not exactly true. Typically when events are held on campus, invites can go out 3-5 days prior. Look at past history before you post such a childish, brainless comment.

We may have one road, but at least we have 6 carriers to choose from to use the iPhone on.
iPhone 4S in 2 weeks, iPhone 5(4g) in 60-90 days
Has anyone thought WHY they would announce 2 phones, I can totally see a tweaked world iPhone 4s to help apple hit all the markets(esp china), and give them a reason to lower the price of the iPhone 4 to $99.
But Why introduce an iPhone 5 that's still 3g? The "Analyst" say its not going to happen, but I would think Apple is getting a lot of pressure to deliver a 4G phone since everyone else is doing it( yea i know, doesn't mean is smart if its not the right time) But still, I would think one last 3G phone that kicks ass to cover all markets, then switch to 4G/3G going forward.
Due to the facts we have seen, I would speculate that the 4S is probably what you can buy in October, but iPhone 5 (4G) would be announced but not released for 60-90 days due to manufacturing and availability of 4G parts. We've also seen that apple stores are getting AT&T Equipment, could this be 4G since 4G isn't rolled out as much as it should be, so they can "sell" how much faster 4G will be, once rolled out in your neighborhood.
Its been speculated here before that the 4G chip set that apple would select to use would not be available till 1/2012 so, its kinds of close.
If they only announce a iPhone4S(3g) that means we would have to wait a whole year before they announce the iPhone 4G? I don't think that's what Apple is thinking but no one knows except them, and they will tell us what they want to do, and we will all like it no matter what it is.
