October 2009 iPhone 4 Prototype Shows Up on eBay [Update: Listing Pulled]

This is a legit prototype. The seller also copied some of the words in the auction word for word from the iPad "dual dock connector" prototype.
 
Isn't illegal to sell that? You know, unless it was legally obtained, which seems unlikely.

Or camo, which makes it more difficult for autobloggers and spy photogs to capture pics.
Trust me, on this one.
You also see them in other areas, where they do testing. I.e. winter testing, desert testing, city testing.
 
Not sure this should be on eBay. I have a funny feeling that it will be removed before the auction closes. Not a bad price tag with 4 days remaining! :apple:

He shouldve done a one day. Or gone along with some of the offers Im sure he received from a previous Youtube video of his.
 
i thought you could get in deep crap for owning something like this. breach of confidentiality or whatever regardless how you got it. who knows. they let cpu engineering samples on ebay so maybe it doesnt matter.

I think the screws look nicer actually. Maybe its just because I'm so used to seeing them tho.

It's just a collectible thing. Same thing that makes costumes and props that they use in movies many times more expensive than they would go for new.
 
The pricing is insane would be cool to show off with but for that price... hell no you can buy a brand new computer or multiple iphones.

If price matters to you, then you aren't the sort of person who this is meant for.

There are plenty of people where $10,000 is a frequent day out on the town.
