I just signed up for my 3 month trial of Fitness+ today. Started with a simple HIIT for Beginners workout. God, I am so uncoordinated! šŸ˜„
Iā€™m going to get back on HIIT and do the beginner videos to finish up the series in November. This month is kickboxing/Pilates and dancing.

I plan the month by creating Stacks for the month and weeks comprised of workouts with a main component (dance, Pilates or kickboxing) which rotates weekly, a strength or core training session and a yoga session on weekdays. Weekends I get on the rower and do a strength training session and a Mindful Cooldown. Here are two samples of Stacks I create:

And if you sit at a desk all day whether you work at home or in the office, the five minute Mindful Cooldown are great for moving meditations and stretching out to fill up extras in your activity rings and do not involve contact with the floor (especially we donā€™t bring yoga mats everywhere and public floors are always dirty) which is perfect to stretch out. You can even use Stacks to plan your workout routines around work and school activities.

I'm sure it's just because I'm new at it but this seems rather complicated. There are workouts, meditations, custom plans, collections, programs, stacks. Also not clear how to add these things to my "library". Too bad there isn't a "start here" thing that progresses to everything else. It's also possible I'm overthinking this and the app is really meant to be free-form. Anyway, I'm sure it will work out! I just need to figure it out. šŸ§

To add a workout in the fitness+ library in iOS 18 or later, press the plus button on the top right corner of the workout video overview. It will also give you an option to download it if you are going to a place with limited cell coverage or Wi-Fi.

I also prefer doing HIIT in colder weather during the holidays as I am off very long during the holidays and HIIT workouts warm you up during the chilly weather.

No we had that one. Not sure why they include some but not others. For example we get the Chinese NY one which obviously we donā€™t celebrate in the UK.
They do have the Chinese new year šŸ§§ activity challenge in countries where there are at least a few Asian communities in there. USA has it as we have cities and countries that have Asian populations, and the uk šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ has some as well. Same goes with Australia and Canada šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦, these countries have populations residing there as well.

Oh Iā€™m not saying we shouldnā€™t have it just not sure how Apple decides what to include and what not to.

How about the thanksgiving 5K turkey šŸ¦ƒ marathon challenge they used to do before COVID? That also may be a us holiday as it relates to the early days of the American history.

Hey folks... hopefully this is not considered thread abuse but I wanted to bounce this off a smaller group before starting another thread. I noticed this recently, like after I got my new watch or upgrade to iOS 18, not sure which. But when on my walks I find that Siri sounds weird. At the 1 mile mark, I hear "sssplit one, uh sssplit pace sixteen minutes, thirty seconds." She literally slurs her "s" and does a pause saying "uh" or "eh" like a human. It's kinda funny but I'm really not a fan.

Have any of you noticed this? Know what's up?

Tbh I only use Siri cause it is required for CarPlay.
but, just looking, there are 9 ā€œflavorsā€ of English to choose from and 5 voices, on the iPhone that is, no idea whether there are options for the watch. Iā€™d check which ones you have chosen and play with those settings
