My goal last month was 56,500 calories and I finished that with three days to spare so coasted and ended up with 61,000. Given the difference between how much you move and how much you burn compared to my numbers, I must be very substantially larger than you. Which kind of makes sense.
Wow, my all time highest calorie requirement was 24,000 out of 8 times in the past 3 years.

Might as well throw my hat in the ring.

Well, I walk only and I have no desire to spend four hours a day walking, so I am near the upper limit of what I'm willing to do.

Well done on achieving those results. I thought I was just answering your question about the upper miles limits, sorry if you took it the wrong way. I don't think there is an upper limit on any of the challenges. Keep up the great work and stay safe. Best of luck with all your future Challenges.

A lot of people got the clear the rings all month challenge.

I wonder what determines the challenges. I know it's random based on past performance but it's not like someone at apple is assigning challenges to everyone who owns a watch.
It looks like there are 6 different tasks, that randomly rotate, with some view of what has been done previously.

3 rings so many times, total distance, exercise minutes, doubling move goal, total calories, number of workouts.

Does anyone know why my stand ring and my boyfriend's have different goals? We have compared them- I don't get my stand credit unless I walk around for more than 3-5 minutes. He gets his when he just stands for one minute. Sexist! lol. Seriously, it is annoying...

Make sure you are swinging your watch hand while “standing”.

I understood what you meant. It sounds like my response didn't come across the way I intended.

I don't pretend that I have a world class workout routine, so I know the activity goals can go far, far beyond what I'm doing now.

My curiosity is more along the lines of how the activity goes about keeping people engaged and challenged without getting to the point of "that's just too much to deal with" and having people ignore them or even get discouraged rather than encouraged.

I walk two and a half hours a day -- people already look at me like I'm crazy -- at a 4.5-4.6 mph pace -- people look at that like I'm crazy, though obviously it's much slower than most people jog -- and that's pretty much as much time as I'm willing to devote, particularly as the sunlight shortens and it gets colder.

I've been willing to add a little to time, distance, steps, etc. by adding an extra block here or there to my routes, but I'm pretty maxed out on my willingness to add much more. It will be interesting to see what the watch has in store for me next month since I'm on pace for over 400 miles this month if nothing comes up to slow me.
