is that adium or ichat you are using? how do you get your buddy list to look so clean like that?

She is definitely using Adium, and is, I think, using the Amora menubar icon (I just started customizing my Adium install and am using that menubar icon now too)

It looks good Laura, very clean. I was thinking about switching to that dock icon set with just the text, do you find that it is hard to quickly see the icon? I tend to associate the icon/color to what the app is, but mostly i just launch stuff with quicksilver, so I guess it would be a nice clean minimalistic touch to add to my desktop.\

Edit: what itunes display/controller are you using there right below your menubar?

i don't know what theme he's using but it's ichat that's on. his adium doesn't have the arrow.

That iTunes controller looks awesome! Give me the name for the app please ^^

Also, what theme are u using for the menubar?

jamesybsu, what's the calendar like thing on your desktop. Can you post me the link.

Thanks.

Its a feature of clock. If you go to settings then date and time, then clock, you can choose to have your clock in the menu bar or window. Then you can change things like transparency, etc.

Laura, I've been wanting to use Silk as well for customizing my menu bar font (specifically reducing the font size of items on the menubar); even on my 1680x1050 external lcd they are WAY too big; i prefer smaller fonts to take advantage of the higher resolution.

Anyway, PLEASE, follow-up if you get it figured out. I'm going to play with it a bit more tonight to make sure I wasn't missing something with it.

Hey there

thanks! I thought the plain text would be hard to see too, but it's never a problem. I think I do it from memory of order in the dock. Yet I do accidentally launch Photobooth instead of the dash all the time!

Definitely try them!
