Hey all, I tweaked my desktop a little further. Got iCal to cooperate, updated dock, and added two new folders on my desktop to help with organization. Also, perhaps my favorite song playing with Coversutra.

Im a PC user waiting for the new MBP so sorry if this is a noobie question. What is the picture on the bottom right corner ? Is it the cover of your currently playing song or what ? If yes, how do you do this ?

i think the top menu bar is explained on page 1 of this thread


my dock is a mixture of 2 programs.....CandyBar and Dock Library. Just do a google search on em. Dock Library is free, CandyBar is not.

I keep my desktop completely black so it can be creatively neutral and not influence my design work. It's easier to spot a smudge so I can find and clean it faster. Sometimes I change the background to 50 percent gray, which is even more neutral.

Less distractions that way. I only use the dock for finder, downloads, and trash. I use spotlight to open programs. Helps me think clearly.

I'm trying to pear down my design programs to the bare essentials. Maybe InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand…and maybe Photoshop (which is a bore to me).

It's a freeware program called iStat Menus. Pretty awesome software i think. here's the link...
