Open up Terminal (Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and type in:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg

and restart. That'll cause all your Command+Shift+3 screenshots to save to the Desktop as JPG files and not the extremely large PNGs. To reverse it back to normal (I'd ask why but whatever), use this command:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture type png

and restart, back to normal, voila...

Now thats the kinda magic im looking for RIGHT THERE!!!!!

Wonderful!! Thank you. :)

Politics is one of my passions. If it bothers you that much, then may I recommend ignoring it? It doesn't affect either of you so don't worry about it.

alright, no problem, but you should see how many kids at my school like obama because it's the "cool" thing to do. Most of them don't know anything about politics. ;)

First post in this thread so I hope it works.

But October's desktop is a tribute of using my favourite phone ever for a whole year! From firmware 1.02 to currently on 2.1.

The background is a screenshot I took of the game Defcon. That game's screenshots make some great backgrounds hehe.

Hiding my dock out of view. Just click to enlarge:eek:

Yeah, I'm waiting for snow leopard. But I'll probably install 10.5 when I purchase a MBP early next year.

Can you tell me how to modify that light under the programs that are opened on your dock ? I've already changed the background of the dock, just looking for a way to change the color the top menu/menu bar (Apple's Menu) and that light under opened programs on the dock.. If anyone know, please, tell me! I'm really looking for it!

Thanks :)
