Just on the verge of receiving my new MBP, and I read that the Leopard has (apparently) incorporated the use of flash as temporary memory. I already have a few CF cards (2gb) lying around, and I am quite sad that apple hasn't used EC /54 slots in any of their MPB's? Doesn't seem like there are any technical challenges into putting in the bigger slot. Unless there is some sort of advantage to having the smaller slot? But seeing as there is no way around this, I'm assuming that 'flash' refers to any solid state memory, right? Including xd, ms, sd and cf etc? My question then is: How much slower (if at all) are cards like sd/xd/ms pro compared to the bigger cf cards? Thanks.
