That is interesting, as I do not even recognize that icon. My Launchpad icon is the rocketship, and I am at 3.7 GB of 5.1 GB... :)

Yea the Rocket ship disappeared after I tried down loading on my 2nd attempt as 1st stalled.
That may explain it.

Yeah that’s weird! Mine is now installing with 28 minutes remaining. Enough time to fry some chicken and work on not losing weight

And as I look around, that is obviously the High Sierra icon... 4.2 GB of 5.1...
Downloading but slow with time going UP ! although the status bar is moving.

Died halfway twice now. Oh well, I can wait to go over the exact same install I have now without the "beta" tag....

Mavericks

I will report back later on how the installation works out.

Installation complete. Everything is looking good so far. I had to enable Trim twice to make it stick.

I have been running the beta on a separate partition and it ran really well for me, hopefully the in-place upgrade will be just as good.

Now to get everything tweaked the way I want it........

The status has been : Calculating time remaining for almost 30 minutes now. This is on a 2017 MBP. Is it normal or should I do something ?

Oh, I would say "don't touch that dial". I still have ten minutes to go.

Finally. Took exactly 2 hours to download and install on my 2013 MacBook Pro but worked the first attempt.
