Where the hell is Microsoft project?!
Sort of a moot point now since I requested a refund due to the lack of effective support, and immanent complexities involved. The download link on your MS account page should still work.
After you have tried to download Office 2021 by using the link on the purchase page - where you got the windows version offered - then this link got “already used”.
And yes - the support from MS was very bad, no one know what they were doing.

For now Office 2019 and 2021 is the same installer - and the same applications - it will only be the license that you can see that has been updated.Sort of a moot point now since I requested a refund due to the lack of effective support, and immanent complexities involved.
I purchased MSO 2021 from this digital product page
After navigating to my confirmation email the first install attempt failed due to the "not compatible" alert.
I believe the purchase page would have detected which version I was purchasing
The notation displayed the following, with no option to select an operating system.
Office Home & Student 2021
Microsoft Corporation
For 1 PC or Mac
For 1 person
• One-time purchase for 1 PC or Mac • Classic 2021 versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Resulting attempts to install resulted in discovering that the purchase of the 2021 version and the actual download icon disappeared.
It is still unclear at this point whether 2021 is compatible with Big Sur
their system spec reads thus:
Operating system Windows 11 or Windows 10 for PC; Mac OS for Mac
Thanks for that update. It is interesting to me that this information contained on the page is mainly for IT professionals, and that details on purchasing, license updates, and such, are not provided to the general public, so to speak, in a clear manner when purchasing the software. For now Office 2019 and 2021 is the same installer - and the same applications - it will only be the license that you can see that has been updated.
On the MS Office's update page where you can download the full installer - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-for-mac - it also show as "Microsoft 365, 2019, 2021" - the Office 2021 with the new updates, is the subscription version.

On some level it appears the implication here is , for instance, a possible work around for my original problems is to
• download the full office suite package without teams,
• then purchase the Office Home and Student 2021 from the online store,
• install from the downloaded installer and employ the new license key .... perhaps?
Or, I could reinstall from my 2019 purchase link that populates my purchase queue, and enter the new key perhaps
Excel: 2.1 GBHi, please let me know the installed app sizes of office 2021, if possible from 16.77. Thanks
Here are my Microsoft apps, all updated to the current stable releases. The Office apps (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) are all 16.77. I have these from an Office 365 subscription, rather than the one-time Office 2021 purchase; but since v. 16.77 is available to you with Office 2021, they're probably the same.Hi, please let me know the installed app sizes of office 2021, if possible from 16.77.
