Being a die hard Yankee fan I will take any chance I can get to point out the Red Sox loses, just like I expect the same when the Yankees loose. That said I always enjoy it when the Royals have a better record then the Red Sox.:D The Yankees are on there way to the first undefeated season in baseball history and the Red Sox are going to go 0-162.:p

Oh man..It's gonna be a long season in here :D

podcasts

i'm looking for some good baseball podcasts for my ipod for the 2007 season. here's the ones i already have (from last season): angels baseball rants and raves (these guys are great, and they also have a football show), starstruck (astros, he's pretty good), new york mets baseball podcast (pretty nice to check on your rivals, but living near a bunch of them, you tire of hearing met fans), everything sf giants baseball (they sound like teenage dorks, but are decent), baseball geeks (good for fantasy baseball, but i think the show is too long), espn baseball today (ugh...i'm probably deleting this one, stopped listening about halfway through last season).

i have not found any braves podcasts yet, but you know what i mean. share the baseball podcasts you listen to.

Hell, I'm just looking for a reliable podcast/webcast for Cubs games.

Then again I'm not really sure I want to hear the carnage live... :(

len and bob's podcast is a good one, it's the wgn announcers, it's a video one, about 5 minutes every week, and it was really enjoyable to hear a snippet them outside of cubs games.

The way they're playing (or not playing) STL could easily start their season at 0-6. They open up a 3 game series at Houston, next. No impressive starter stepping up. Carpenter to sit out his rotation. Errors. No hitting from anyone. They've been doubled up some 6-7 times already. Middle game pitching is pathetic. Hancock - 27.00 ERA and Springer with a 40.50 ERA? That's just scary. Not the way to start out of the blocks for '07. I wonder if a Cubbie fan brought a goat and spilled its blood in the ballpark? :)

MLB has deal to keep 'Extra Innings' on cable TV

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2826280
NEW YORK -- After negotiations that went into extra innings, baseball struck a deal to keep its "Extra Innings" package of out-of-market games on cable television.

Under pressure from Sen. John Kerry, baseball and iN Demand reached an agreement in principle Wednesday on a seven-year contract, a deal that likely will allow the sport's new TV network to be available in at least 40 million homes when it launches in 2009.

Baseball announced an exclusive $700 million, seven-year agreement with DirecTV on March 8, but viewers who would have lost TV access to the games complained.

"The concern expressed by our fans who would have been forced to switch to alternative carriers or were unable to switch was something we tried to be responsive to," baseball chief operating officer Bob DuPuy said.

Kerry had asked the Federal Communications Commission to investigate the original deal, and during a hearing last week in Washington he pushed baseball to resume talks with iN Demand, owned by affiliates of Time Warner, Comcast and Cox. While baseball had set a March 31 deadline, the sides kept negotiating and announced a deal Wednesday night, an agreement that still must be finalized.

Anyone catch the Braves Phillies game last night?

Wow, besides the fact that it ended with a braves win, that was just an amazing game. Both pitchers just tore it up, and we got to see out All Star catcher, and two hometown (well three because Brian's hometown too...) boys win the game for us. Hells ya.

The only other game I caught was the mets game, which was dissapointing to me.

I must be late to the party of something, but I just realized the Dbacks changed their jersey. If you haven't seen it, have a look here.

There it is!
