Again, I'm not trying to defend Bonds. I wasn't comparing based on his cheating, entourage, or lying, only his selfishness. In this regard, Clemens is right up there.
Bonds hasn't been a light hitter since his early days with the Pirates. And it's easy to forget that until the 73-homer season in 2001 and the subsequent steroid suspicions, he wasn't considered damaged goods yet. He was a jerk, yes, but not a liability.
