They have cutouts that more closely align to the location of the speakers and mics and lighting port. They’re not a wide open slot at the bottom. Such cases aren’t ideal in all situations. For example I can’t plug in my Shure Mic into the lightning port with such a case. But they give good protection when I am working in the yard.Why would they be any worse than $3 cases or $40 cases from Apple? There aren’t that many ways to press clear silicon into a form. And they’re all made in China anyway.
How are the speaker and microphone going to work, if you close it at the bottom? This is the standard design every Chinese case has. The only thing missing are the color options, which will look great on a white iPhone XR.![]()
