Official facebook app crashing on iPad 3

I don't remember FB ever crashing on iPad 2. Since I've gotten the 3, the app crashed about 10 times. Anyone else have this problem? It's not a huge deal for me, but my wife thinks I should've kept the iPad 2 since there is no difference between the two and FB used to work perfectly.

I get crashes etc when viewing photo comments. Thats the only thing that always crashes it, no matter what.

Since installing from a backup again however, it seems that notification centre is completely broken for it, as it constantly notifies me of messages, even when the option is unchecked. Had to disable it alltogether.

My replacement iPad will be here soon though, so I'm gonna start fresh again.

My iPad3 has rebooted itself 3 times this evening, all while the official Facebook app has been running (twice while I was using it, once while it was in the background).

iPad 2 Facebook app crashes constantly

It has crashed often for me on both my iPad 2 and the new iPad. Just using it, scrolling, and it disappears.

My iPad 2 Facebook App crashes ALL THE TIME! I have tried shutting down and restarting...sometimes it works fine...usually when I first start using the iPad then after about an hour of use..try to post a comment CRASH...and now I hear the iPad 3 is crashing WHAT IS GOING ON!

Just posted about Facebook app crashing repeatedly on my iPad 2 and how disappointed that crashes on iPad 3 are in discussions...so when posting previous comment...iPad crashes what is going on?

This same thing happens to me. When I go to 'Me Friends' page there is nothing there accept the alphabet. When I click on a letter it crashes every time.

Yeah I have the photo comments problem too. Have had it since my iPad 2.

is the facebook app on the ipad supposed to show the new timeline or is that only for the iphone still?

Same here. I use it in browser. The app sucks.

And look at the user reviews as of late. Crashes on all devices.

The Facebook has been garbage from day one. Other than the revised layout in the current version, it still crashes just as often on my iPad 3 as it has on my iPad 2, iPhone 4, or iPhone 4S. The bottom line is whomever is coding their apps needs to either learn how to code better or go work somewhere else, because the FB app sucks.

What was wrong with your iPad? Mine has been perfect.

Back on topic: FB app is useless on all formats, always has been. Funny how twitter could push a 'retina' update on release but yet we still wait for FB..
