Facebook is being really dumb about this whole app for iPad thing. Millions of people own iPads, and most of them use Facebook. If they make a solid app and charge people even 99 cents for it, they won't only make a lot of money, but they will also make their users happy. I hate all the Facebook apps that other people attempt to make. Still using the web version of it, unless I need to upload a picture, in which case I use the iPhone version on my iPad. Hopefully people at Facebook can open their eyes and develop a good application for a device that millions of people buy and not waste their time with the PlayBook, which I'm sure is a great device, but last time I checked, Apple holds most of the tablet market.

I deleted Friendly when logging into my profile logged me into my girlfriends passcode protected profile. I mean what the heck, that is just unacceptable.
Always wondered why there was no app.
Not fussed I can use it in the browser.

It doesn't really sound like Facebook even built this app. They even specifically say they aren't interested in making applications for specific tablet OS'.
Personally, to me, it sounds like RIM is building/built this with some help from Facebook. I could, of course, be wrong.

I use the Terra browser on my ipad2 and I can chat and have desktop style FB on iPad just in settings activate the setting identify the browser as safari 5 or Internet explorer and boom u get the desktop FB I have 1 open right now and also chatting with my friends .
Cool, I'll have to try it in Atomic. Not a big FB user, but I do like the chat.
With how many millions of iPads floating around, why is this thread titled "...Sorry iPad" ? It should be titled "...Sorry Facebook"

I like my iPad 2, but jeez, it's just a tablet. Sometimes I do wish it were a 7" and had flash support, so I may pick up the Playbook sometime down the road. But seriously. Get a grip.
The Facebook page actually does render quite well on it despite what someone said. It'll even play the Flash games in Facebook:

For all of the complaints about fanboys on here or other sites, it's funny to read comments when you watch these videos about how this is the iPad killer and how the iPad sucks or just "got owned"...give me a break.
I think it's funny how BB thinks being able to play a video directly in Facebook or watching a Flash video on YouTube is really the deciding factor....it's a nice feature, but there's SO much more an iPad can do based on it's app selections alone to make it way more valuable and useful.

Not true. Friendly lets you do things that you SHOULD be able to do on touch,facebook.com but can't, like upload photos.
