What would be a useful online form(s) for our online MRioKart Racing League to take?

well from what i understand is if someone else has a friend confirmed and you don't you can still play that other person because of the mutual friend that you two share.

And bwahahha Marky that makes us 1-1 i believe

Man this is great fun playing this game, it really is

Well, the other day I was playing a game with srobert, and a friend of mine named Bugclimber joined in while we were at the Friends screen. srobert and bugclimber did not have each other on their friends lists and had never heard of each other, but since they both had me as a mutual friend, it worked.

By the way Praxis, I'm still licking my wounds from our last encounter ^_^. Now I know a bunch of new shortcuts I learned watching you race… from behind… waaaayyy behind. ;)

Nope. That makes you a confused person since some of the choices are contradictory. :p No big deal. That will place you in the "The more, the merrier" clan.

I would say this thread is good enough, but the mods here tend to discourage threads that turn into chat between a handful of members. I've set up a bulletin board for us to use at my Podophile.com site, which I had originally intended to use as an iPod/Mac/Tech blog (and still may someday). I've been away from this forum (and MKDS) for a while, and I can't believe how much the league has evolved!! It's good to be back playing though. I still get the friend list error that I already posted, but that's just because not everyone has registered my friend code. Also, Srobert, I really like you logo, and I think it's the best so far. I'm working on one too.
 
My brilliant mate Tom just got this today, we've been competitive gamers since we were foeti and we had a 4 player in total. I love this game.

I think we need chat, it'd be great to talk in a group before and after the games. I think that'd be a lot easier than getting on and just hoping some friends are on as well.

Could we use this forum but chat from somewhere else?

Another crazy idea - What about a league emblem or symbol we put on our emblem. Kinda like a clan, it would identify us to each other and other players. Maybe a small "mr" or something in one corner of our emblem?

hmm my thoughts are that when more and more DS WIFI games come out there will just be a MR league for all of them, and at that point i think we would need our own forum

You raise a valid point. I already ordered Animal Crossing and I'll definitly invite everybody here to my town. We can't have 3+ different threads like this one about DS games being bumped to the top of the MacRumors Games' forum all the time.

My guess is that we need another board for all our Mac/DS Wifi community needs, with a forum on the board for each WiFi enabled game.

Chat is definitly very useful. Until we find something better, let's say we use IRC, IRC.net profile, #MRKarts chatroom. It can't be that bad since MacRumors are using it ^_^. I know Eva01 had trouble with IRC but let's give it a try. I'm open to suggestions for better options. Voice your opinion. We can find a bunch of free IRC clients over here: Click!.
 
I will be ordering my Animal Crossing soon as well.

I think it could just become a subunit of Macrumors our league. Our Justice League >_>

The option is still open to use my server
 
TEG, good games last night! I enjoyed them. :) It seems we're pretty closely matched, going with one set to each of us! It's too bad we weren't able to pick up that third friend who was searching for games while we were in the middle of racing (I saw the friend icon blinking in the middle of our match). Maybe next time. :)

I dont think that icon blinking means that you both have a friend on, i'm pretty sure it just means that one (or more) of your friends is online ?

Nintendo of Europe has launched their own version of the WiFi Connection community page. As the European version looks equal to the US version, one difference has been found: Europe does not allow to link your game or friendcode to your Nintendo ID. Also, the Forum-link is redirecting to Nintendo of America's own forums, who do not legally allow people from outside Canada or the U.S. to join.

Whether NoE is planning to enhance the website in the (near) future, remains unknown.

That's what I though at first, but unless they improve on the Id linking, you're not missing much. So far it only list my activity over the past 2 weeks.
