Low battery warnings. Got about 2000 miles out of it, which is Ok I guess.

That makes it... what, on the order of 1.5 cents per mile? Not too bad. Worth it to me for the features, but then having it die and needing to go get a new one is a pain. On the other hand, that's almost seven pairs of shoes if you replace at 300 miles....

My thoughts for your leg injury... I know exactly what you mean. I have one very weak ankle and I have the same constant risk....

Thanks. The leg strengthening is key. One of the worst things about this injury is that if you take too much time off, your leg muscles get weaker, and then, when you come back, your legs are too weak to take all of the strain off of the knee, so the problem ends up recurring.

Stretching is good too, but only once the inflammation has gone down a bit.

Ice (I use ice cups) and anti-inflammatories are the staples of my recovery plan.

It's a hard injury to get rid of, and it always threatens to come back if you hurt your knee or even overtrain. I'm just hoping I can shake it soon because I don't have a lot of time to waste.

well, do what you gotta do. i've been there before (and probably will again) so i know how it feels. you'll get through it though

Anyone having problems with the website? I can't seem to get on it now. It was working earlier today but not tonight.

300 miles per pair of shoes? Wow, I go 500. Maybe I'd have fewer injuries if I did it your way. :p

the problem is that this injury is endangering 6 months of marathon training. I'm so pissed right now.

I was told 250, and I stretched it out to 300-350, but I do try to replace by then... :p But then that's a bit longer calendar-time-wise for me than it is for you. I am a n00b about it, but I find my shoes feel pretty worn down by 300 miles. They definitely have notably less support than their successors, even notwithstanding that I sometimes get a new generation of the shoe when I replace.

I've heard 400-500, but I'm sure your way is closer to optimal. It's not even the money that makes me wait, it's just that I forget. Usually at about 450 miles my legs start feeling a little more achey, and then I realize how long I've had my shoes.

I try to replace my shoes about every 500 miles. My coach told my team that they should be replaced every 300-500 miles, but I think that 300 miles is still a little to early. I have a pair of 2130s waiting for me, but my 2120s are holding up for now.

Is it just me or does it seem that the Nike+ website goes out every night? I even just downloaded the latest version of Flash and still nothing!

yeah i've also been told between 300-500, and i usually go about 500.

I wonder if it varies from shoe to shoe? My Saucony's definitely feel worn down, provide less stability, etc, during the 300-400 mile timeframe. Anyway, I'm blissfully around mile 75 of a new pair of shoes, and enjoying it. Gen 6 of my shoe is de-lovely! (Saucony Omni Progrid 6 Ultimate) I was thinking about switching to Mizuno after this pair, until I tried the 6's, and now I think I'm content with the big S for now.

it seems to be half-way working for me (as usual). after plugging up my ipod, click "visit site", and then it loads forever. when it does finally come up, it's a blank red screen. but if you go to runs, and click on runs, then the site seems to work
