I was 8 when the first one came out. I choked up a little it was a very sad and depressing movie not only because of the plot but because it made me feel old seeing a grown up Andy and the dog that is near death. :(

We saw it last night. I didn't tear up until the end, when (are we trying to keep this spoiler-free?) the toys finally move on to their new owner.

Surprised no one has mentioned my favorite part yet. It has been a long time since I laughed as hard as I did at Big Baby. Every time she appeared on screen I lost it. A close second was the security guard monkey, he also cracked me up.

For a G-rated movie I was a little surprised at how intense some of the scenes were, especially near the end at the garbage dump. I'm thinking about some of my younger nieces and nephews, and can imagine that those scenes might freak them out a bit.

Anyways, it was great, and I highly recommend it. It was definitely better than Toy Story 2, and possibly even better than the original.

Yeah, I felt the same way. Especially the scene (I think) you're talking about - it was pretty dark.

I didn't cry, though I got pretty close during the ending and during a certain other scene that I won't post because of potential spoilers. It's pretty easy to guess if you've seen the movie.
