If this were a Samsung commercial instead? Yes.

This thread is very telling.

BFD.

The reason people jump over Samsung is because they emulate Apple's commercials to sell the same products, the same ways, with the same feel. And do it often. Very often.

There's a difference here, my friend.

To me there's a difference if the copying is in the same industry, same line of work, hurting profits. But this? If Apple were a music band, then I could see the complaint. But c'mon, if anything this is going to bring more business to OK GO.

I think they are just looking for a quick buck.

Valid point! Still it's a bit ironic, there has to be 25 instances of "good artists copy great artists steal" posts.

Anyone ever hear of this band OK Go Go? I haven't till I read this. They want the publicity.
Plenty have heard of them. But that doesn't really change anything one way or another.

No battle to be had really.

Actually, a pox on both their houses.

The Apple ad is gratuitous flattery of horrible trendy folk.

The OK Go song is a 10th generation New Order retread.

As for "exploring legal options" about the visual conceit, OK Go will be told by the first honest barrister they meet to OK Go to Hell.
