Agreed!

Never use it and would like to change its function...I would guess this will be released in an upcoming update...

----------

Use Siri or mainly my phone for longer text conversations...I find the watch more of a convenience to check incoming messages and alerts so I don't have to go to my phone...I feel that I would be going "out of my way" more to try to have a full conversation on the watch than to just use my iPhone. Of course it all comes down to personal preference, I got the 6 plus for the large screen and the watch for the convenience and fitness tracking...we all have different perspectives.

Now, I will use the watch to answer incoming calls when my phone isn't readily available or if I'm in the middle of doing something and don't have a free hand. But in terms of initiating conversation...I still go to my phone first...

THIS.

The watch consumes, the phone initiates. Can't see it any other way, but I recognize I'm not everyone.

Never once used it.

I rarely initiate contact from the Watch, and when I do I tend to use Siri and dictation (or the messages app and dictation when Siri isn't working so well).

The Watch, for me, is more about fitness tracking and notifications than anything else. The only time I use it to contact people first is in moments of extreme laziness, otherwise I prefer to use the phone and have the ability to create long messages with proper punctuation.

I also don't use it and hope to see customization options in future updates.

The perfect use for me (I got this idea from someone else here) would be to stop my workouts with the button. After a few mile run, my fingers are always wet with sweat, no matter how hard I try to avoid touching my face and I can't stop my workout. It's EXTREMELY frustrating. I damn near broke my watch because force touch didn't even work. I pushed harder and harder and it wouldn't do anything. I even took my watch off my wrist and dried it on a dry part of my shirt... it took .05 miles of walking and a considerably slower pace to finally get it to stop tracking.

If I could use the "friends" button instead, it would eliminate the biggest flaw I have encountered. Otherwise, I guess I'm gonna have to run with a small towel which is kind of ridiculous.
